摘要: A preheat system for a convection cooking appliance functions to control the operation of multiple heating units, the heating of a catalyst, and the speed of a blower assembly of the appliance to effectively eliminate grease, oils, and other hydrocarbon compounds from prior cooking operations, while also minimizing the generation of any appreciable amount of smoke. Additionally, the blower assembly is controlled to establish a negative pressure differential in the oven cavity upon opening of an oven door in order to assure that any smoke, as well as additional amount of oxygen for enhancing combustion, will be drawn into the oven cavity. The preheat system is particularly adapted to clean the oven cavity prior to a cooking operation and between self-cleaning cycles.

摘要: An arrangement for retaining wires or cables inside a trough having base wall, and first and second side walls extending generally parallel to one another from the base wall. The arrangement includes one or more pairs of trapezoidal retainer plates supported on the side walls so that each pair of plates are in confronting relation to one another above the trough. Each retainer plate has a base portion, and an end portion forming an outside edge which defines an approximately 45-degree angle with respect to parallel side edges of the plate. The outside edges of each pair of confronting plates form a gap through which wires or cables can be inserted into or withdrawn from the trough. The gap forms an acute angle with respect to the side walls of the trough, so that inserted wires or cables will be retained by each pair of confronting retainer plates.

摘要: A self-cleaning system for a convection cooking appliance controls the activation and deactivation of multiple heating units, as well as a blower, throughout an initial preheat and subsequent phases of a cleaning operation. More particularly, at least first, second and third heating units are provided, with two of the units being positioned in an air channel assembly which extends about at least a portion of the oven cavity and the remaining heating unit being positioned within the oven cavity. The heating units in the air channel assembly are activated, along with a blower, during a preheat phase to heat the oven cavity at a controlled rate, while developed byproducts are directed through a catalyst. Following the preheat phase, the blower and one of the heating units in the air channel assembly are deactivated, while the heating unit in the oven cavity is activated to rapidly increase the temperature of the oven cavity.

摘要: An appliance includes a plurality of electric power consuming devices having associated activated power consumption levels which collectively can exceed an available power supply limit to the appliance. The appliance includes a control system for power distributing to the various devices in a manner which optimizes performance while preventing the current draw from exceeding the established limit. In the most preferred embodiment, the appliance constitutes a range having various heating components, preferably first and second ovens, as well as a plurality of surface heating elements. A current monitoring arrangement signals demanded current levels from certain ones of the heating components, with the signals being used by the control system to distribute the available current on a predetermined priority basis.

摘要: Computer-based systems, methods and computer program products for colorimetric mapping are provided. In one embodiment of the method, the method includes obtaining a digital reference image, including: illuminating a known reference source with an arbitrary illumination; and determining an observed illumination by receiving light signals from the reference source at an image sensor; determining a color-balance matrix by minimizing an error between colorimetric values of the digital reference image and color corrected pixel values; applying the color-balance matrix to the digital reference image to produce a color-corrected image; determining a color-space transformation matrix that transforms a color space of the image sensor to a perceptual color space; generating a transformed image by applying the color-space transformation matrix to the color corrected image; and outputting the transformed image.

摘要: A rodent electrocution assembly includes a housing that may be positioned on the ground thereby facilitating the housing to be aligned with a rodent tunnel. A pair of legs is provided and each of the legs is hingedly coupled to the housing. Each of the legs is urged to penetrate the ground thereby facilitating each of the legs to be positioned in the rodent tunnel. An electrifying unit is coupled to the housing. The electrifying unit is positioned in the rodent tunnel when the pair of legs is positioned in the rodent tunnel. The electrifying unit electrocutes a rodent when the rodent passes through the pair of legs.

摘要: Dose counter assemblies are provided herein which allow for the counting of used doses of a medical inhaler. In one aspect, one dose counter ring is utilized. This provides for dose counting but with inherent limitations in the number of doses which may be counted. In a second, and preferred, aspect of the subject invention, two cooperating does counter rings are utilized which allow for adjacent digits to be displayed, thereby allowing an increased number of doses to be counted. Advantageously, with the subject invention, due to mechanical interactions, reliable dose counting can be achieved with the subject invention.

摘要: Disclosed are various apparatus and methods for discriminating between fake and reject coins. The term ‘coin’ includes any type of monetary token or token that is associated with a value. Various different apparatus and methods are disclosed. These include a method and apparatus of applying multiple input currents of different frequencies to a coin and monitoring the apparent change in impedance of a coil or coils resulting from eddy currents induced in the layers of the coin from the multiple input currents. Other methods and apparatus relate to applying electromagnetic radiation to the coin and measuring various resulting characteristics including the amount of light fluoresced or reflected from the coin, or the absorption characteristic of the coin. Other methods and apparatus relate to measuring vibration of a coin. Other methods and apparatus relate to identifying genuine and bogus coins via particular identifying characteristics of the coins including magnetic codes/serial numbers.
