    Abstract: A charging apparatus is installed in an area in which entry of a vehicle is restricted. The charging apparatus includes: a movable portion including a connection device connectable to an energy storage device; a raising device configured to raise and lower the movable portion between a first state and a second state; a communication device; and a control device. The first state is a state in which the movable portion is housed in the ground, and the second state is a state in which the movable portion is exposed on the ground and the energy storage device and the connection device are connectable together. The control device is configured to control the raising device using information received via the communication device, and permits raising the movable portion when the movable portion is in the first state and the control device receives request information requesting emergency use of the charging apparatus.

    Abstract: A laminate type battery includes an electrode body, and a laminate film that covers and encloses the electrode body, in which: the laminate film includes a film body that covers four surfaces of the electrode body having a rectangular parallelepiped shape, and two lid members that cover two remaining side surfaces of the electrode body respectively; and each of the lid members has a concave shape that is constituted by one bottom plane and four wall planes, an outside surface of the concave shape at the bottom plane or an inside surface of the concave shape at the bottom plane faces the side surface of the electrode body, and outside surfaces of the concave shape at the wall planes are fused with the film body.

    Abstract: The lithium ion battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolytic solution. The positive electrode includes a positive electrode mixture. The positive electrode mixture contains a positive electrode active material and active lithium. A mass fraction of the active lithium with respect to a total of the positive electrode active material and the active lithium is 0.25% or more. The electrolytic solution contains a solvent and a lithium salt. The solvent contains a carboxylic acid ester in a volume fraction of 40% or more.

    Abstract: An electrode for a battery comprises a base material and a negative electrode active material layer. A cross section of the negative electrode active material layer parallel to a thickness direction includes a first region and a second region. In the thickness direction, the first region is interposed between the second region and the base material. The first region includes a first active material and a first binder. The second region includes a second active material and a second binder. Either a set of relationships of “A2 A1” and “B2>B1” is satisfied. A1 represents an aspect ratio of the first active material. A2 represents an aspect ratio of the second active material. B1 represents an area fraction of the first binder in the first region. B2 represents an area fraction of the second binder in the second region.
