    摘要： An article of footwear has an upper and a sole. The sole has an upper sole member, a lower sole member, and at least one inflatable bladder disposed between the upper sole member and the lower sole member. The at least one inflatable bladder has an inflated state and a deflated state. A distance between the upper sole member and the lower sole member is greater in the inflated state than the deflated state. Varying the inflation of the inflatable bladder varies the amount of cushioning in the sole and the thickness of the sole so that the shoe can serve as a multipurpose shoe for activities requiring different amounts of cushioning.

    摘要： An article of footwear includes a sole having a shank area located between a forefoot portion and a rear foot portion of the sole, an upper including an inner counter and an outer counter, and a pivot mechanism attaching the outer counter to the sole so as to permit the outer counter to pivot relative to the inner counter at a pivot point located at the shank area of the sole. The outer counter pivots between an open position away from the inner counter and a closed position in supporting engagement with the inner counter. The pivot mechanism may be a mechanical, composite, or living hinge. The article of footwear may further include a locking mechanism for selectively securing the outer counter in the closed position in supporting engagement with the inner counter.

    摘要： A direct connectivity system provides automated healthcare administrative transaction submission, including claim submission, eligibility verification and claim status, from healthcare service providers directly to payers. The direct connectivity system bypasses transaction processing intermediaries such as clearinghouses by directly connecting providers to payers in a many to many manner. Existing single payer web portals are supplanted by a many to many network that has a common interface across multiple payers. The direct connectivity system may receive responses directly from payers and may prepare or process the responses for a practice management program so that the service provider receives rapid feedback on the administrative transaction submission. The direct connectivity system may automatically analyze transaction file attributes to determine one or more of many payers to which to send a transaction file, from one of many providers. Batch and singleton file transfer is supported for multiple file formats, optionally with secure file transfer.
