Abstract:
The present invention relates to a clean process for the degradation of steroidal sapogenin to produce 16-dehydropregnenolone and its analogs. The pure or the crude pseudo steroidal sapogenin, derived from steroidal sapogenin, dissolved in organic solvent, reacts with hydrogen peroxide with or without metal compound and acid as catalyst, and the crude products directly go through elimination and hydrolization in the presence of base to give 16-Dehydropregnenolone or its analog, accompanied with the other product 4R(or S)-methyl-5-hydroxy-pentate, which is converted to 4R(or S)-methyl-δ-pentyl lactone after acidification and extraction from the water layer. This technology improved the utilizing degree of steroidal sapogenin, improved the yield, and cleared up the chromium pollution in the former technique. In a word, the method disclosed in this invention is more suitable for manufacture.

The present invention discloses a method of transmitting a notification indicator of multimedia broadcast/multicast services in wideband code-division multiple access, the method including: a step of extracting notification indicator information by a radio network controller from a notification message of the multimedia broadcast/multicast services; a step of transmitting the notification indicator information to physical layer and building a notification indicator channel frame via a frame protocol layer; and a step of transmitting the notification indicator channel frame to user terminals via a physical channel. According to the method of transmitting a notification indicator of the present invention, user terminals can accurately read the notification indicator within the time length of one frame, so that the false alarm ratio and transmission power of the notification indicator are reduced.

Systems, methods and apparatus are provided through which in some embodiments, a magnetic resonance imaging system includes a ferromagnetic shield positioned between main coils and bucking coils. The ferromagnetic shield reduces magnetic coupling between the main coils and the bucking coils, which provides for the main coils and bucking coils having a reduced size and cost.

Described herein is a method and system for shimming an MRI magnetic field generating assembly, wherein a plurality of shims are secured relative to a surface of the magnetic field generating assembly to at least partially correct inhomogeneities in the magnetic field generated by the magnetic field generating assembly. In one aspect, the shims are arranged along a plurality of concentric geometric shapes each having at least five sides. In an alternative aspect, the shims are arranged in a plurality of rows and columns, where the rows are normal to the columns. In another aspect, at least one of the shims is a flat plate of magnetic material including a top edge, a bottom edge, side edges, and face surfaces. The bottom edge is the proximal portion of the flat plate relative to the magnetic field generating assembly, the top edge is the distal portion of the flat plate relative to the magnetic field generating assembly, and the face surfaces are aligned with a direction of the magnetic field generated by the magnetic field generating assembly.

The present invention discloses a comprehensive dynamic management scheme of HS-DSCH channel codes, which comprises the steps of: determining a remainder HS-DSCH channel resource of a system when a new HS-DSCH bearer service request is received; calculating a required HS-DSCH channel resource for the new service request; comparing the current system remainder HS-DSCH channel resource with the required HS-DSCH channel resource for the new service request; determining whether there is a need to add new HS-DSCH channel codes based on comparison results, assigning new codes or switching the service request into DCH channel for data transmission in accordance with the actual usage of the current code tree; when the existing HS-DSCH bearer service is completed, calculating a current system HS-DSCH channel resource usage ratio and hysteresis then comparing it with a predefined threshold, and determining whether there is a need to withdraw channel codes based on the results of comparison. The dynamic resource management scheme according to the present invention is well suited for application to future HSDPA technology as the technology is broadly spreading by radio resource management algorithms of radio network controller.

The present invention relates to a method and system for adjusting a magnetic center field of a magnetic field generator in an MRI. One embodiment of the presenting invention relates to a magnetic field generator system having a magnetic center field. This embodiment comprises opposing posts and opposing yokes connected to the opposing posts, where at least one of the posts has a spacer. At least one permanent magnetic block is connected to at least one of the opposing yokes. Further, at least one spacer is formed in at least one of the posts, the yokes and/or the permanent magnetic block.
