    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for improving retransmission scheduling of sidelink communications are disclosed herein. In one method, a first device monitors a down control signal for scheduling sidelink resource. The first device performs a sidelink transmission for a second device based on a first sidelink grant allocated by a base station. The first device determines a retransmission need of the sidelink transmission based on a Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) feedback of the sidelink transmission from the second device. The first device transmits a retransmission indication for the retransmission need to the base station. The first device starts or restarts a timer upon the transmission of the retransmission indication, wherein the timer is used for controlling a period of monitoring a downlink control resource set.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a User Equipment (UE) for the UE to request sidelink resources for an one-to-one V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) sidelink communication, wherein the UE supports both LTE (Long Term Evolution) RAT (Radio Access Technology) and NR (New Radio) RAT. In one embodiment, the method includes the UE initiating a one-to-one V2X sidelink communication. The method further includes the UE transmitting a RRC (Radio Resource Control) message to a network node to request sidelink resources from NR RAT for the one-to-one V2X sidelink communication and not transmitting any RRC message to the network node to request sidelink resources from LTE RAT for the one-to-one V2X sidelink communication.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a first device. In one embodiment, the method includes the first device performs sensing on a data resource pool, and the first device selects/derives at least a first data resource from the data resource pool based on the sensing result of the data resource pool. The method further includes the first device transmits a first control information on a first control resource, wherein the first control information allocates or indicates the first data resource. The method also includes the first device performs a first data transmission on the first data resource to at least one second device. Furthermore, the method includes the first device determines or derives a first set of feedback resource(s) based on the first control resource and/or the first data resource; and the first device receives a first set of feedback transmission(s) on the first set of feedback resource(s) from at least the one second device, wherein the first set of feedback transmissions are associated with the first data transmission.
