Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed. In an example from the perspective of a device, a grant is received on a first interface. The grant is associated with transmission on a second interface. A first resource and/or a second resource are derived based upon the grant. A first transmission for delivering a transport block is performed on the first resource on a first transmission beam. The first transmission is on the second interface. A second transmission for delivering the transport block is performed on the second resource on a second transmission beam. The second transmission is on the second interface.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for improving retransmission scheduling of sidelink communications are disclosed herein. In one method, a first device monitors a down control signal for scheduling sidelink resource. The first device performs a sidelink transmission for a second device based on a first sidelink grant allocated by a base station. The first device determines a retransmission need of the sidelink transmission based on a Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) feedback of the sidelink transmission from the second device. The first device transmits a retransmission indication for the retransmission need to the base station. The first device starts or restarts a timer upon the transmission of the retransmission indication, wherein the timer is used for controlling a period of monitoring a downlink control resource set.

In one embodiment, the method includes the UE initiating a one-to-one V2X sidelink communication. The method further includes the UE transmitting a RRC (Radio Resource Control) message to a network node to request sidelink resources from NR RAT for the one-to-one V2X sidelink communication and not transmitting any RRC message to the network node to request sidelink resources from LTE RAT for the one-to-one V2X sidelink communication.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for triggering solving mismatch between sidelink BSR and available sidelink transmission in a wireless communication system are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method includes a relay UE establishing a first layer-2 link and a second layer-2 link between the relay UE and a remote UE, wherein the first layer-2 link and the second layer-2 link have two different source identities and a same destination identity. The method further includes the relay UE receiving a sidelink grant from an eNB. The method further includes the relay UE using the sidelink grant to serve the first layer-2 link and the second layer-2 link.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a UE (User Equipment). In one embodiment, the method includes setting a state variable used for the sidelink transmission to “1” when a PDCP (Packet Data Convergence Protocol) entity for the sidelink radio bearer is established. The method also includes performing the sidelink transmission for a very first data unit of the PDCP entity on the sidelink radio bearer, wherein a sequence number of the very first data unit is set to the state variable.
