    摘要: A target system for determining the location of a position on a vehicle comprises a target body, one or more target elements, a trigger, and a point definer. The target elements are disposed on the target body and are detectable by a position determination system. The trigger is positioned on the target body and is remote from the position determination system. The trigger operates the position determination system by selectively changing the detection of one or more of the target elements by the position determination system. The point definer extends from the target body, and the point definer includes a point its a distal end. The point is capable of being located adjacent the position on the vehicle and is at a known location from the target body. The position determination system determines a location of the target body after detecting the target elements disposed on the target body. Methods of using the target system are disclosed.

The channels, either OCT or confocal can operate on the same wavelength or on different wavelengths. The apparatus can display both transversal as well as longitudinal images in an object, particularly the eye.

    摘要: The present disclosure provides a method and system for determining symmetry and Ackermann geometry status of the steering system of a vehicle. A system according to the disclosure determines symmetry of the steering system based on toe angle differences of the steerable wheels. Thus, no specification is required for determining symmetry of the steering system. A system according to the disclosure determines symmetry of the steering system based on normalized toe angles. Consequently, the steerable wheel does not have to be positioned at a specific angle. Additionally, the present disclosure determines symmetry in the steering system of a vehicle without requiring turning steering wheels through a large angular range. Hence, technician efforts in steering the wheel are reduced. The disclosure also provides an improved alignment procedure that implements determination of symmetry of the steering system into the alignment procedure. The present disclosure provides a novel machine-implemented procedure to determine Ackermann geometry status of a steering system based on theoretical Ackermann angles.

    摘要: An improved position determination system that is resistant to interference caused by glint, such as from the Sun. The position determination system for determining positional parameters of an object has a target device comprising a base configured for attaching to the object, first and second target surfaces connected to the base; wherein the planes on which the first target surface and the second target surface are located are non-parallel to each other. The position determination system further comprises an image sensing device configured for forming a viewing path intersecting the target device and generating image information indicative of the geometric characteristics of the target device, and a data processing device configured to couple to the image sensing device for determining the orientation of the object based on the image information. If one of the target surfaces becomes obscured as a result of glint, the image of the other target surface alone is sufficient to determine object orientation.

    摘要: An apparatus for determining the position and/or alignment of objects such as motor vehicle wheels, and including targets for attachment to the objects, a pair of optical sensing means such as television cameras for viewing the targets, an electronic processing means connected to the optical sensing means for processing data relating to images of the targets to determine position and/or alignment information, and a display means for displaying the position and/or alignment information. The optical sensing means view a target located on each object and form an image of each target. Electronic signals corresponding to each of the images are transferred to the electronic processing means which correlates the image signals of each of the targets with the true shape of each target. In so doing, the processing means relates the geometric characteristics and positional interrelationships of certain known elements of the target with the geometric characteristics and positional interrelationships of corresponding elements in the viewed images and calculates the position and/or alignment of the objects to which the targets are attached.

    摘要: A flexible coupling for transferring a fluid between two fluid conduits and for providing an effective fluid seal is disclosed. The device includes a body portion containing a hollow interior open on opposite ends thereof and having a raised cylindrically shaped end collar formed around at least one of the open ends. The end collar defines an outwardly opening, endlessly extending groove in which a seal ring assembly is removably disposed and which projects out of the groove to provide an effective fluid seal against a cylindrically shaped bearing surface of a hollow conduit collar, the latter being attachable to one of the fluid conduits. A pair of stop members disposed in the conduit collar confines the end collar for both rotatable and translatable sliding movement therebetween. The body portion is also angularly adjustable relative to a centerline of the hollow interior of the conduit collar. Various removable seal ring and biasing spring configurations for use in the end collars are also disclosed.
