    摘要: Safety pacing in multi-site cardiac rhythm management (CRM) devices is provided. According to various method embodiments, a first cardiac signal from a first cardiac region and a second cardiac signal from a second cardiac region are sensed. The first cardiac region is paced to maintain at least a minimum cardiac rate, and the second cardiac region is paced to maintain at least the minimum cardiac rate when a pace in the first cardiac region is inhibited. Other aspects and embodiments are provided herein.

    摘要: A cardiac rhythm management system for coordination therapy includes a pulse generator to generate pacing and discharging of recharge pulses. A pulse delivery controller coupled to the pulse generator, times the delivery of the pacing and discharging of recharge pulses in a desired sequence. A therapy circuit coupled to the pulse delivery controller, receives the timed pulses from the pulse delivery controller and delivers the timed pulses to one or more electrodes disposed in or around a heart to communicate the timed pacing and discharging of recharge pulses to different sites of a heart, to avoid any interactions resulting from the electric fields surrounding the electrodes during a multiple site pacing required by the coordination therapy.

    摘要: A device and method for improving tachyarrhythmia detection when the ventricles are resynchronized by delivering paces to both ventricles separated by a specified offset interval. Timing of escape intervals and tachyarrhythmia detection is based upon senses from one of the ventricles designated as a rate ventricle. A reversion pacing mode is provided in order to prevent tachyarrhythmia detection from being compromised when the rate ventricle is paced after the other ventricle.

    摘要: A device and method for multi chamber pacing a patient's heart having heart failure and intrinsic conduction, wherein ventricular tracking is used to pace the ventricle when the sinus rate exceeds a preset atrial maximum tracking rate. The ventricular tracking pacemaker increases the range of pacing the ventricle. The ventricular tracking minimizes the loss of ventricular pacing caused by intrinsic conduction when the sinus rate is below an atrial maximum tracking rate, and it induces a new ventricular pacing behavior for sinus rates above the atrial maximum tracking rate without any significant pacing hysteresis as the sinus rate returns towards the lower rate limit.
