Abstract: Embodiments of a system and method for dual connectivity for device to vehicle or vehicle to vehicle communication in a Wireless Network are generally described herein. In some embodiments, processing circuitry may determine a quality of service (QoS) level for data to be transmitted over a first radio access technology (RAT) connection and determine a QoS indicator from the QoS level, the QoS indicator identifying a dual connectivity backup transmission, the dual connectivity backup transmission including a hot, warm, or cold backup. In some embodiments, transceiver circuitry may attempt to transmit the data using a first transmission mode, the first transmission mode using the first RAT connection and the data including the QoS indicator and retransmit, in response to the attempt failing, the data using a second transmission mode.

Abstract: Embodiments of a Next Generation Node-B (gNB) and methods of communication are disclosed herein. The gNB may be configured with a gNB central unit (gNB-CU) and a gNB distributed unit (gNB-DU). The gNB-CU may determine a route for delivery of a data packet to a User Equipment (UE) on an integrated access backhaul (IAB) of relays. The gNB may generate a physical layer (PHY) data packet in accordance with a split between functionality of a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer at the gNB-CU and functionality of a radio link control (RLC) layer at the gNB-DU. The PHY data packet may include the data packet, a PDCP header, an adaptation layer header, an RLC header, a medium access control (MAC) header, and a PHY header. The adaptation layer header may indicate one or more relays included in the route.

The new reference signal, called the TDOA-RS, is proposed to improve the hearability of neighbor cells in a cellular network that deploys 3GPP EUTRAN (LTE) system, and the TDOA-RS can be transmitted in any resource blocks (RB) for PDSCH and/or MBSFN subframe, regardless of whether the latter is on a carrier supporting both PMCH and PDSCH or not. Besides the additional TDOA-RS reference signal, an additional synchronization signal (TDOA-sync) may also be included to improve the hearability of neighbor cells.

Abstract: An apparatus of an Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) node includes processing circuitry coupled to a memory. To configure the IAB node for resource allocation within an IAB network, the processing circuitry is to decode radio resource control (RRC) signaling from a central unit (CU) function of an IAB donor node. The RRC signaling configures first time-domain resources for a parent backhaul link between a mobile termination (M) function of the IAB node and a distributed unit (DU) function of a parent IAB node, and second time-domain resources for a child backhaul link between a DU function of the IAB node and a MT function of a child IAB node. Uplink data is encoded for transmission to the parent IAB node based on the first time-domain resources. Downlink data is encoded for transmission to the child IAB node based on the second time-domain resources.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for use in a wireless network for random access channel (RACH) resource coordination. Abstract: Provided herein are systems and methods of configuring received signal strength indicator (RSSI) measurements to determine crosslink interferences (CLI). For instance, a user equipment (UE) can receive, using radio front-end circuitry, a RSSI resource configuration for CLI measurement from a base station in a 5G network. The UE can then measure a RSSI of one or more received signals based at least in part on the RSSI resource configuration. The UE can then perform one or more CLI measurements based at least in part on the measured RSSI. The RSSI resource configuration includes an identifier information element (IE), one or more slot-level indication IEs, one or more symbol-level indication IEs, one or more physical resource block (PRB)-level indication IEs, one or more resource element (RE) pattern indication IEs, and one or more receive beam indication IEs.
