摘要: An ink evaluation method of the present invention comprises: a first step of making a given amount of solution pass through a filter and measuring time for the solution to pass through the filter; a second measurement step of making pass through the filter the ink having a solid material dispersed in a solvent and having the same viscosity and the same amount as those of the solution, and measuring the time for the ink to pass through the filter (filter passing time); a calculation step of calculating a ratio of the filter passing times between the solution and the ink; and a determination step of determining whether the ink discharging stability index is high or not based on the measured ratio. Thus, since the ink having a high spraying stability index can be easily determined, ones having the high spraying stability index out of plural types of ink may be selected.

摘要: In a method of driving a plurality of ink jet heads, each ink jet head comprises a plurality of ink chambers that are each provided with an ink nozzle. The ink nozzles of each of the ink jet heads are divided into N sets each including every N-th ink nozzle, where N is an integer of two or more, and the N sets of the ink nozzles are arranged in parallel longitudinal rows in a staggered arrangement. The respective ink nozzles in corresponding rows of the ink jet heads are spaced apart from each other by a distance equal to an integral multiple of a pitch of the rows of the ink nozzles in each of the ink jet heads in a sub-scanning direction in which a recording medium is moved, and the ink nozzles eject ink as the ink nozzles move relative to the recording medium in a main scanning direction perpendicular to the sub-scanning direction. The ink nozzles of each of the N sets are driven to eject ink on a same line on the recording medium, by controlling a timing at which the ink nozzles of each set are driven and a relative speed between the ink jet heads and the recording medium. When an amount of misalignment between dots recorded by a reference set of the ink nozzles and dots recorded by another set of the ink nozzles exceeds one-half of a dot pitch defined in the sub-scanning direction, an order in which the sets of ink nozzles are driven is changed to reduce the amount of misalignment between dots to below one-half of the dot pitch defined in the sub-scanning direction.

摘要: An image printing apparatus comprises a storage section and a control section. The storage section stores an absorbing speed information in a storage area, the absorption speed information is a measured speed at which a recording medium used for a printing process absorbs an ink used for the printing process. And the control section controls an ink head so as to perform first dot recording which records a plurality of dots on the recording medium by a pitch of an ink ejection opening of the ink head, and moves the recording medium relatively with the ink head and controls the ink head so as to perform second dot recording which records a plurality of dots between a plurality of dots recorded by first dot recording, in accordance with a print interval time determined based on the absorption speed information stored in the storage section.

摘要: A granulating apparatus for continuously producing granules from powdery particles. The granulation chamber of the granulator comprises a feeder for supplying powdery particles to the granulation chamber and a spray nozzle for ejecting a binder solution on the powdery particles held in the granulation chamber. Powdery particles-drying hot gas is supplied from the bottom of the granulation chamber so as to vortically flow upward through the granulation chamber. The centrifugal force of the vortically flowing hot gas causes fully grown granules having a larger diameter to be distributed toward the peripheral wall of the granulation chamber. The granules fully grown to a prescribed diameter are selectively and continuously conveyed to a drying chamber through an outlet port formed in the peripheral wall of the granulation chamber. The granules thus brought are thoroughly dried in the drying chamber. In this way, powdery particles fully grown to granules having a prescribed size in a granulation chamber can be selectively and continuously discharged.
