摘要： A technique controls the actuation of a downhole tool in a wellbore. The technique utilizes a rupture pressure membrane in a flow path of actuating fluid used to actuate the downhole tool. An energetic material is mounted proximate the rupture disc, and this energetic material may be selectively exploded. The resultant energy is sufficient to initiate rupture of the rupture pressure membrane which enables flow of actuating fluid to the downhole tool.

摘要： An apparatus for retaining fluid in a pipe includes an elongated body adapted to be positioned within a subsea wellhead assembly. The elongated body has an end adapted for connection to the pipe, a flow passage for fluid communication with the pipe, and an outer surface for engagement with a sealing member in the subsea wellhead assembly. A first chamber is defined within the elongated body and connected to receive pressure from above the subsea wellhead assembly. A second chamber is defined within the elongated body and connected to receive pressure from below the subsea wellhead assembly. A valve is supported in the elongated body for movement in response to pressure differential between the first and the second chambers. The valve is movable between an open position to permit fluid flow through the flow passage and a closed position to prevent fluid flow through the flow passage.

摘要： A latching assembly includes a first mating portion and a second mating portion disposed adjacent and rotationally restrained relative to the first mating portion. A first cam member having a first cam profile is mounted on the first mating portion. A second cam member having a second cam profile is mounted on the second mating portion. The second cam profile is adapted to inter-fit with the first cam profile. Torque induced by the cam members when the cam profiles are engaging rotates the first cam member until the first cam profile is inter-fitted with the second cam profile.

摘要： A valve for use downhole in a wellbore can be repeatedly opened and closed any number of times in response to a pressure signal transmitted down the annulus of the wellbore. The valve is set and changes from a first position to a second position in response to a first pressure signal transmitted down the annulus, a pressure value of the first pressure signal transmitted down the annulus being greater than a pressure value of a pressure existing in an inside annular space of the valve by an amount at least equal to a predetermined value. The valve resets itself and changes back from the second position to the first position in response to a second pressure signal transmitted down the annulus, the pressure value of the pressure existing in the inside annular space of the valve being greater than a pressure value of the second pressure signal transmitted down the annulus by an amount at least equal to the predetermined value.
