    摘要: A set of rules is used by a processor of a device to render a digital image of handwriting (e.g., handwritten signature) by connecting data points captured on a touch sensitive surface of the device with line segments or curves. A set of rules determines whether two given data points will be connected by a line segment or a curve. If a curve is used, the set of rules determine characteristics of the curve through the derivation of control points. In some implementations, a smoothness adjustment factor can be applied to magnitudes of curve control points to reduce excessive smoothing for large distances between data points and maintain acceptable smoothing for short distances between data points. The magnitude can then be adjusted by multiplying by a constant factor which can be determined (e.g., heuristically) from the processing speed and resolution of the device upon which the curve is being rendered.

    摘要: Active vibration control systems (100) and methods are provided herein. Systems (100) are expandable and include a plurality of vibration control devices (110) and at least a first controller (102) digitally linked with a second controller (104) via an interface (108). The first and the second controllers exchange information for generation of a force control command (FCC) either the first or second controller. The FCC is then executed at a first vibration control device (110) of the plurality of vibration control devices (FG) for providing active vibration control within a vehicle. A method of providing vibration control in a vehicle includes providing a plurality of active vibration control devices (100) and providing at least a first controller (102) digitally linked with a second controller (104). The method further includes generating a FCC using information exchanged between the first and the second controllers. The method further includes sending the FCC to a first vibration control device (110) of the plurality of devices (FG).

    摘要: A conical dental bur for endodontic procedures, including exploration, deep troughing, enlargement of orifices, and canal navigation is presented. The bur of the present invention has a narrow, conical bur head with cutting members along its length. The head of the bur of the present invention is mounted to a shank that tapers to the bur head, allowing microscopic observations of endodontic procedures. The bur may be manufactured of tungsten carbide, diamond, ceramics, or other materials. Burs according to the present invention of various shapes and sizes, suited for particular procedures, may be packaged together in kits. Methods of using the burs in endodontic procedures are also disclosed.

    摘要: A method of operating a router for enabling communication between a plurality of host services and a mobile device is described. The method includes receiving notification messages from a host service of the plurality of host services, where the plurality of host services support a plurality of message types. Each notification message has contents indicating a destination mobile device and a data message for the destination mobile device stored on the host service. The data message has a message type corresponding to one of the plurality of message types. The method further includes determining whether a first active service session with the destination mobile device exists and, if the first active service session exists, then sending the notification message to the destination mobile device for subsequent retrieval of the indicated data message stored on the host service using a second active service session between the destination mobile device and the host service. The method further includes, if no active service session exists, then holding the notification message until a new active session is detected, and upon detecting the new active session, sending the notification message to the destination mobile device for subsequent retrieval of the indicated data message stored on the host service using a second active service session between the destination mobile device and the host service.
