摘要: An emboli extraction catheter and vascular filter system comprising a guidewire, a vascular filter attached near the distal end of the guidewire, and an emboli extraction catheter. The vascular filter has a smaller first diameter for insertion into the lumen of a vessel, and a second larger diameter for expanding to substantially equal the diameter of the lumen and to be placed in generally sealing relationship with the lumen. The emboli extraction catheter is a flexible catheter comprising a hub attached to the proximal end of the catheter. The hub further comprises a sideport and means for maintaining a seal on the guidewire. The emboli extraction catheter can be used to aspirate embolic particulates, so as to avoid their accidental release after they are captured in a vascular filter, and can also be used to empty full vascular filters of embolic particulates which may block distal flow.

摘要: The system provides a control and management solution for linked gaming machines in a progressive game environment. The system can track multiple meters so that multiple progressive jackpots can be maintained for each game and/or for multiple participating business entities sharing in game revenue. Correspondingly, multiple progressive display meters can be controlled for each game machine. The system is scalable from near area progressive systems to wide area progressive systems. In the event that communication is lost with in a wide area progressive environment, one or more game machines may automatically switch to near area progressive behavior until communication is restored. The system is independent of currency and denomination limitations by employing and converting currency as units instead of particular denominations. Game machine population and participation can be remotely managed, updated, and changed from a central management location.

摘要: A system and method of routing requests received from client computers. The client computer processor is redirected to a router for which the address is within the preferred coverage zone. If a router is not identified for which the address is within a preferred coverage zone, but a router other than the router that received the request is identified for which the address is within a regular coverage zone, the processor is redirected to the router for which the address is within the regular coverage zone. If a message is transmitted from a router behind a firewall to a router outside the firewall, and then a request for data is received from a processor behind the firewall, the processor is redirected to the address of the router. Routers register themselves dynamically into a hierarchy. In another alternative embodiment, a service request from a particular client computer is serviced immediately by the root router rather than redirected to another router. The root router then attempts to find the best source server for the client computer. The next service request from the client computer is dispatched directly by the root router to this best router.

摘要: Methods for treating bleeding disorders using non-anticoagulant sulfated polysaccharides (NASPs) as procoagulants are disclosed. NASPs can be administered as single agents, or in combination with one another, or with other medications (such as factors VII, VIII and IX) to promote hemostasis. In particular, the use of NASPs in treatment of bleeding disorders, including congenital coagulation disorders, acquired coagulation disorders, and trauma induced hemorrhagic conditions is described.

摘要: A integral vascular filter system comprising a guidewire and an integral filter which can be used to capture embolic particulates during medical procedures, while allowing for continuous perfusion of blood, with minimal incremental blood flow turbulence. The vascular filter system addresses the clinical problem of minimizing profile or diameter, so as to enable or facilitate the crossing of a lesion or obstruction in the vessel, while also minimizing incremental blood flow turbulence which may result in thrombus formation.

摘要: A removable, variable-diameter vascular filter system comprising a guidewire and a filter which can be used to capture embolic particulates during medical procedures, while allowing for continuous perfusion of blood. The removable, variable-diameter vascular filter system allows the operator to vary the diameter of the filter, so that a single device can be used to capture embolic particulates in vessels with different lumenal diameters.

摘要: In accordance with the present invention there is provided a delivery apparatus for a self-expanding stent. The apparatus includes an outer sheath, which is an elongated tubular member having distal and proximal ends. The outer sheath is made from an outer polymeric layer, an inner polymeric layer, and a braided reinforcing layer between the inner and outer layers. The reinforcing layer is more rigid than the inner and outer layers. The apparatus further includes an inner shaft located coaxially within the outer sheath. The shaft has a distal end, extending distal to the distal end of the sheath, and a proximal end, extending proximal to the proximal end of the sheath. The shaft further includes a stop attached thereto. The stop is proximal to the distal end of the sheath. Lastly, the apparatus includes a self-expanding stent located within the sheath. The stent makes frictional contact with the inner layer of the sheath. The stent is located between the stop and the distal end of the sheath, with a portion of the shaft disposed coaxially within a lumen of the stent. The stent makes contact with the stop during deployment of the stent.
