摘要: The present disclosure is directed to an optical adapter for an optical scope. The optical scope includes a tube defining a conduit. The optical adapter is coupled to an end of the tube. The optical adapter defines a proximate end and a distal end. The optical adapter includes a casing defining a longitudinal direction. The casing includes a first wall and a second wall, in which the first wall and the second wall define a first viewing port therebetween. The second wall defines a second viewing port. The optical adapter further includes a hinge coupled to the first wall, a reflecting lens defining a first end separated from a second end in the longitudinal direction, in which the first end is coupled to the hinge, and an actuator coupled to the first wall and to the second end of the reflecting lens. The actuator pivots the reflecting lens about the hinge from a retracted position adjacent to the first wall to an extended position toward the second wall.

摘要: A system includes a borescope and at least one processor. The borescope includes a camera configured to acquire an acquisition series of frames of at least one target component. The at least one processor is operably coupled to the camera, and is configured to acquire the acquisition series of frames from the camera; determine a blurriness metric value for each of the frames; select frames that satisfy a threshold for the blurriness metric value to form an inspection series of frames; and perform an inspection analysis for the at least one target component using the inspection series of frames.

摘要: In one aspect, a method for performing in situ repairs of internal components of a gas turbine engine may generally include inserting a repair tool through an access port of the gas turbine engine such that the repair tool includes a tip end positioned within the gas turbine engine and a material supply end positioned outside the gas turbine engine. The method may also include positioning the tip end of the repair tool adjacent to a defect of an internal component of the gas turbine engine, wherein the defect defines a fillable volume along a portion of the internal component. In addition, the method may include supplying a filler material to the tip end of the repair tool and expelling the filler material from the tip end of the repair tool such that the fillable volume is at least partially filled with the filler material.

摘要: A method for locating probes within a gas turbine engine may generally include positioning a plurality of location transmitters relative to the engine and inserting a probe through an access port of the engine, wherein the probe includes a probe tip and a location signal receiver configured to receive location-related signals transmitted from the location transmitters. The method may also include determining a current location of the probe tip within the engine based at least in part on the location-related signals and identifying a virtual location of the probe tip within a three-dimensional model of the engine corresponding to the current location of the probe tip within the engine. Moreover, the method may include providing for display the three-dimensional model of the engine, wherein the virtual location of the probe tip is displayed as a visual indicator within the three-dimensional model.

摘要: The systems and methods herein relate to artificial neural networks. The systems and methods examine an input image having a plurality of instances using an artificial neural network, and generate an affinity graph based on the input image. The affinity graph is configured to indicate positions of the instances within the input image. The systems and methods further identify a number of instances of the input image by clustering the instances based on the affinity graph.

摘要: Methods for material build-up on a tip of a blade of a gas turbine engine are provided. The method can include inserting a material supply and an inflatable bladder between the tip and a shroud such that the material supply is exposed to the tip and the inflatable bladder is positioned between the material supply and a shroud, inflating the inflatable bladder to force contact between the material supply and the tip, and causing relative movement between the material supply and the tip. The relative movement, in combination with the radial biased contact between the material supply and the tip, creates heat through friction. As such, the relative movement can frictionally weld new material from the material supply onto the tip of the blade. For example, the heat created can be sufficient to melt the surface of the material supply to transfer material from the material supply to the tip.
