Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a user-plane protocol stack determining method, a control-plane network element, and a system. The method includes: obtaining attribute information of a service of a terminal; determining, based on the attribute information of the service, a user-plane protocol stack used to transmit the service, and determining a user-plane network element serving the terminal; and sending protocol stack type indication information of the user-plane protocol stack to the user-plane network element and an access-network network element, where the protocol stack type indication information is used to indicate the user-plane protocol stack corresponding to the user-plane network element and the access-network network element. Therefore, a to-be-used user-plane protocol stack is determined according to different service requirements of the terminal, thereby flexibly meeting the service requirements of the terminal.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a quality of service control method, an application server, and a terminal. In the method, an application server inserts a QoS control indication into an HTML page, receives an HTML page request of the terminal, and returns the page including the quality of service QoS control indication to the terminal, so that the terminal parses the QoS control indication on the HTML page, and requests QoS control from a QoS control function entity of an operator, where the QoS control includes QoS status query and/or QoS improvement.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose a method and a device therefor, applied to a scenario of Ethernet packet transmission. In an example method, a first device receives a first packet. Load data in the first packet includes padding redundant data. The first device deletes the padding redundant data. The first device generates a second packet. Load data in the second packet is payload data obtained after the padding redundant data is deleted from the first packet. The first device sends the second packet to a second device.

Abstract: A communication method and apparatus In response to an AMF device determining whether a first tracking area where a first access network device currently accessed by a terminal is located does not support a first network slice requested by the terminal and in response to the first tracking area does not support the first network slice, the AMF device sends second radio resource information to the first access network device. The second radio resource information is usable at the first access network node to determine frequency band information, and the frequency band information is usable at the terminal to access the first network slice in a second tracking area by using a target access network device, the second tracking area where the target access network device is located supports the first network slice. In this case, the terminal accesses the first network slice that the terminal requests to access.

Abstract: Communication methods and an apparatus are provided. The method includes: After receiving a registration request sent by a terminal device, an AMF sends first information to a UDM network element, where the first information includes NSSAI requested by the terminal device, S-NSSAI in a home domain corresponding to the NSSAI requested by the terminal device, or subscribed S-NSSAI of the terminal device. The AMF receives SoR information of the terminal device from the UDM, where the SoR information includes information about each preferred PLMN of the terminal device. The AMF sends the SoR information to the terminal device. Based on this solution, when determining the SoR information of the terminal device, the UDM may determine each preferred PLMN of the terminal device based on a network slice expected (requested) by the terminal device.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide an uplink PDR generation method, an apparatus, and a system, to resolve a problem in a conventional technology that an uplink data packet may be discarded because a PCF network element may not include uplink SDF information when generating a PCC rule including an RQC indication. The method includes: A session management network element receives a first policy and charging control PCC rule from a policy control network element, where the first PCC rule includes downlink service data flow SDF information that corresponds to a first service. When the first PCC rule includes a reflective quality of service control RQC indication, the session management network element generates, according to the first PCC rule, a first uplink PDR that corresponds to the first service. The session management network element sends, to a user plane network element, the first uplink PDR that corresponds to the first service.
