Abstract:
A method of attaching a magnet to a rotor or a stator of an electrical machine is provided. The method includes arranging a magnet along a surface of the rotor or stator; arranging a pair of retainers, one on each side of the magnet; enclosing the rotor or stator, magnet and retainers in a vacuum bag; and performing vacuum evacuation to consolidate the magnet to the retainers by means of adhesive. A magnet mounting arrangement for a rotor or a stator of an electrical machine and a wind turbine with a generator including a rotor and a stator and such a magnet mounting arrangement are also provided.
Abstract:
A mould for moulding a wind turbine blade using a reinforcing material and a matrix material is provided. The mould includes a solid non-stick lining, and wherein the material properties of the non-stick lining are chosen to prevent a matrix material from bonding with the non-stick lining of the mould. A method of moulding a wind turbine blade in a mould is also provided. The method includes applying a solid non-stick lining to an inside surface of the mould, assembling a reinforcement material lay-up for the wind turbine blade on the non-stick lining, distributing a matrix material through layers of the reinforcement material lay-up, performing curing steps to harden the matrix material, and subsequently removing the cured wind turbine blade from the mould.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing sintered magnet poles is described. The mold is filled with a vitrifiable base material powder and closed with a plate. A magnetic field aligns the powder and a plate pressed onto the powder establishes a compact that holds the alignment in place. The compact is sintered to form a sintered magnet pole. The mold forms a protective cover of the sintered magnet pole and the plate forms a base plate of a magnet pole piece. Furthermore, a magnet pole piece is provided which has a magnet pole and a base plate which is fixed to a protective cover so that the base plate and the protective cover surround the magnet pole. The base plate and/or the protective cover of the magnet pole piece has at least one element that provides a geometrical locking of the magnet pole to the base plate and/or the protective cover.
Abstract:
A stator segment for a stator of a ring generator is provided. The stator segment includes a base element and a coil element attached to the base element. The base element includes a connection region, wherein the connection region is adapted for attaching a connecting coil element which connects the stator segment to a further stator segment.
Abstract:
A stator system for an electric machine, in particular a generator of a wind turbine is disclosed. The stator system includes a stator housing segment, a plate, supply system and a manifold segment. The stator housing segment includes a cooling channel which includes an opening at an axial front face of the stator housing segment. The plate is mounted to the axial front face for reinforcing the stator housing segment. The supply system is adapted for supplying cooling fluid to the cooling channel. The manifold segment is welded to the plate for forming a guide channel for the cooling fluid between the manifold segment and the plate. The plate includes a through-hole for generating a connection between the opening of the cooling channel and the guide channel. The supply system is connected to the guide channel.

A rotor for a generator of e.g. a wind turbine is disclosed. The rotor includes an axis of rotation, a circular rotor body and a circular stabilization structure. The circular stabilization structure is arranged at a face side of the circular rotor body. The stabilization structure includes a brake disc.
Abstract:
A generator is provided comprising a rotor with a number of magnetic rotor pole shoes, a stator with a number of stator coils wound on the stator, and a generator-utility grid interface comprising a plurality of diode rectifiers, each diode rectifier is connected to a stator coil and the number of stator coils is greater than the number of rotor pole shoes, or the number M of rotor pole shoes is greater than, but not an integer multiple of, the number of stator coils. A wind turbine utilizing the generator of the present invention and a method of assembling such a generator are provided
Abstract:
A generator is provided that includes at least one pole set representing one phase. Each pole set includes a plurality of poles. At least one conductor is turned about the poles of a particular pole set such that only half a single turn is associated to each pole of the particular pole set.
Abstract:
An arrangement to compensate a non-uniform air gap, which is located in an electric machine is provided. The electrical machine includes a stator arrangement and a rotor arrangement. The rotor arrangement rotates around a longitudinal axis. At least parts of the rotor arrangement interact with parts of the stator arrangement to generate electrical power. The air gap is defined by the distance between the parts of the rotor arrangement and the parts of the stator arrangement. The parts of the stator arrangement are opposite to the parts of the rotor arrangement along a certain length. The cross section of the air gap changes along this length thus the air gap is not uniform in view to the referred certain length. The flux density of magnets, which are part of the rotor arrangement, is changed in dependency to the cross section of the air-gap.
