Abstract: An electromechanical actuator for electrical flight controls of an aircraft, the actuator comprising a transmission shaft, four electromechanical conversion members, each having a respective stator and rotor secured to the transmission shaft, and four control systems, each dedicated to respective ones of the electromechanical conversion members. The stator has teeth and windings surrounding at least one tooth, whereas the rotor is provided with permanent magnets. Each electromechanical conversion member is a flux-concentrating member and each winding is concentric and has a single layer. The electromechanical actuator is intended in particularly for controlling a hydraulic actuator via a mechanical transmission within an electrical flight control device of an aircraft.

Abstract: Provided is a damper for a semi-active energy regenerative suspension based on hybrid excitation. The damper includes: an upper lifting lug, a dustcover, a lower lifting lug, a hydraulic shock absorber, and a hybrid excitation mechanism, wherein the hydraulic shock absorber is configured to provide a constant viscous damping coefficient, and wherein the hybrid excitation mechanism is configured to generate an adjustable electromagnetic damping force, to transform the vibration energy into electrical energy, and to storage the electrical energy. Also provided is a method for determining the sizes of the damper. The damper which has a simple structure, balances the vibration isolation property and energy regenerative property of the vehicle suspension, and provides a fail-safe function. Furthermore, the method for determining the sizes of the damper is easy and practical to implement, has definite steps and produces drastically optimized results.

Abstract: Embodiments of the subject invention are directed to a homopolar motor and its mechanical coupling with a flywheel rotor. The homopolar motor includes a rotor and no additional bearings, shafts, gears, pulleys, etc., are required to couple the the flywheel rotor and the rotor of the homopolar motor. The homopolar motor includes a stator with a stator laminate and a number of stator pole pieces. The pole pieces generate magnetic flux across a first radial gap to rotor assembly to generate torque. Rotor assembly is coupled to and rotates with shaft which in turn rotates the flywheel rotor. The rotor assembly includes a rotor laminate stack and a field coupler. The field coupler has a top portion that rotates with the shaft and a bottom portion that attaches to a housing and remains stationary.

Abstract: A stator assembly includes a stator frame structure having an outer annular frame with an outer edge running around a center axis; a plurality of stator segments mounted at the outer edge along a circumferential direction of the outer edge, each stator segment comprising at least one electric coil; and a wiring arrangement electrically connecting the stator segments with an electric power interface. The wiring arrangement comprises a plurality of wiring assemblies, each wiring assembly electrically connecting one of the plurality of stator segments with the power interface is provided. Each wiring assembly is routed along and next to the outer annular frame and comprises electric cables connected in between the electric interface and the respective stator segment, wherein the electric cables are provided with electric insulation structures each surrounding one of the electric cables. Further described is an electric generator and a wind turbine with such a stator assembly.
