    摘要: In a personal watercraft with a watercraft body including a hull forming a bottom portion and a deck covering the hull from above, a magnet box is integrally combined with a battery storage tray. The watercraft also includes an engine disposed within the watercraft body, and a saddle-type seat disposed above the engine. A magnet box, including a main box body and a lid member, sealingly stores an electromagnetic starter switch therein, and is disposed in front of a battery storage tray, in order to reduce the distance between the magnetic starter switch and a starter motor. The main box body is formed integrally with a battery storage tray which is disposed in back of the engine and fixedly disposed on a floor portion of the watercraft body. The lid member is adapted to sealingly close the main box body of the magnet box in a fluid-tight manner.

    摘要: Embodiments in accordance with the present invention improve the head characteristic and avoid collisions between a head element section and a recording disk. A hard disk drive according to an embodiment of the present invention performs TFC (Thermal Fly height Control) to adjust the clearance between the head element section and recording disk by means of thermal expansion. A head slider includes a TFC heater. The hard disk drive detects its acceleration and controls the TFC heater in accordance with the detected acceleration, thereby reducing the probability of collision between the head element section and recording disk. Further, the hard disk drive detects residual vibration prevailing after impact application. The heater turns back ON when the residual vibration becomes lower than a reference level.

Specifically, each of the cathode spots includes an electron emission layer and a cathode base bearing the electron emission layer. The cathode lines are formed separately. Each cathode spot is electrically coupled to a cathode line via a cathode branchline. Owing to the structure, even if part of the electron emission layer is broken, the other part thereof coupled to the cathode lines will not be adversely affected.

Therefore, for example, wavefront aberration of a projection optical system can be measured without using any special kind of masks for measurement, by setting a wavefront measurement instrument of the attaching type to a substrate stage, illuminating the fiducial plate with an illumination system, and receiving spherical waves generated at the pinhole shaped pattern via projection optical system with the wavefront measurement instrument. Accordingly, the wavefront aberration of the projection optical system can be measured easily, at a desired timing, which allows sufficient quality control to be performed on the projection optical system. As a consequence, the pattern of the mask can be accurately onto the substrate, using the projection optical system on which sufficient quality control is performed.

    摘要: An inertial latch for preventing an actuator arm, which is a component of a disk apparatus, from flying out from an unloading position because of an external shock. The actuator arm cannot be prevented from flying out from the unloading position because of repulsion produced when the actuator arm crashes against a stopper, by operation other than an external shock. A latch, for engaging with a point end portion of the actuator arm to prevent the actuator arm from flying out, is provided with a sensing protrusion 16e. When the actuator arm crashes against an outer crash stop, the shock causes the latch to rotate and engage with the actuator arm, whereby the actuator arm is prevented from flying out.

    摘要: A cam gear controlling mechanism is simple in structure, small in overall size and high in reliability of operation. The controlling mechanism comprises a cam gear having toothed and non-toothed portions and a cam groove, a trigger lever having a projection fitted in the cam groove and movable between arresting and non-arresting positions, a spring biasing the trigger lever to the non-arresting position, and electromagnetic means for releasably holding the trigger lever at the arresting position. When the cam gear is engaged with a driving gear, it is rotated in one direction by the latter, but when the driving gear is opposed to the non-toothed portion, a stopper projection on the cam gear is abutted with the engaging projection to lock the cam gear there. When the trigger lever is released from the electromagnetic means, it is moved to the non-arresting position to release the cam gear while the projection operates the cam groove to rotate the cam gear into engagement with the driving gear, and then, the cam groove operates the projection to return the trigger lever to the arresting position.
