    摘要: A low-profile chucking mechanism holds a disc recording medium on a turntable that has a plurality of first engaging teeth and a plurality of second engaging teeth. When the disc recording medium is to be mounted on a disc supporting surface of the turntable, the first engaging teeth are pushed radially inwardly of the rotational axis of the turntable by the edge of a central circular hole of the disc recording medium. When the first engaging teeth are moved, the second engaging teeth are biased in ganged relation to the first engaging teeth radially outwardly of the rotational axis of the turntable and engage the edge of the central circular hole of the disc recording medium mounted on the disc supporting surface, thereby pressing and holding the disc recording medium against the disc supporting surface.

    摘要: An objective lens driving biaxial actuator for driving an objective lens in both a focusing direction and a tracking direction with respect to a recording medium. The biaxial actuator comprises: a movable portion for holding the objective lens; an elastic member having its one end attached to the movable portion for movably supporting the movable portion; a stationary portion fixing the other end of the elastic member; and a balancer disposed at the side of the stationary portion with respect to the objective lens and carried on the movable portion at such a distance that its clearance from the stationary portion may restrict the deformation of the elastic member within an elastic limit. A hinge is interposed between the elastic member and the movable portion for moving the objective lens in the tracking direction.

The device renders it possible to bond the magnetic head chips to the base member in position without requiring operation skill.

    摘要: An objective lens driving device used in an optical recording and/or reproduction apparatus comprises a lens holder, elastic supporting members, a coil bobbin and a yoke. An objective lens is mounted in the lens holder. The elastic supporting members have one end attached to the lens holder and the other end attached to a mounting part. The elastic supporting members support the lens holder movably in a direction parallel to the optical axis of the objective lens and in a plane perpendicular to the optical axis. A coil for focusing and coils for tracking are wound on the coil bobbin. A magnet is mounted on the yoke, and the width of this magnet is selected so that flux from the magnet acts only on effective portions of the coils for tracking.
