摘要: A method for purifying carbon monoxide, which can efficiently remove metal carbonyl in carbon monoxide while suppressing the production of carbon dioxide, is provided by selecting a metal oxide having proper oxidizability as a reactant with metal carbonyl. Carbon monoxide containing metal carbonyls as trace impurities is contacted with a remover containing manganese sesquioxide as a main component, thereby reacting metal carbonyl in carbon monoxide with said manganese sesquioxide to remove said metal carbonyl from said carbon monoxide.

摘要: A method and apparatus for minimizing performance degradation resulting from reassignment of data to alternate sectors as a result of a defect within the original sector. For example, when a request for writing data “a” into a sector A is made but the data is written into an alternative sector A′ in an alternative sector area X because the sector A is defective. Therefore, when a write request for writing data “b” into a sector B is made subsequently, re-assignment is performed to a sector B′ subsequent to the alternative sector A′. Similarly, a defective sector C for which a request for writing data “c” is made is re-assigned an alternative sector C′. Thus, the successive data a, b, and c are written into the successive sectors A′, B′, and C′ in the same alternative sector area X, minimizing performance degradation.

摘要: A working vehicle is provided for improving safety and work efficiency by changing a travel speed limit appropriately depending on forms and conditions of work. The working vehicle is driven with an engine, and a working machine such as a working pump is mounted on the vehicle. Fuel supplied to the engine is regulated by an injector. Travel speeds of the working vehicle are detected with a vehicle speed sensor. A control unit is provided with a high speed travel mode which limits vehicle speed at or below a predetermined high speed limit and a low speed travel mode which limits vehicle speed at or below a low speed limit which is set below the high speed limit. In this way, either the high speed travel mode or the low speed travel mode is set according to a changeover signal from a travel mode changeover switch.

摘要: A disk storage device is disclosed for avoiding the instantaneous performance degradation as much as possible, and a method for processing a defective sector in such a disk storage device. There is executed a predetermined check related to a function of the disk storage device, preferably at least one of a read test, a write servo test, or a write test, when the disk storage device is in a waiting state where the disk storage device has no access from a host. The read test and write servo test are used to search for a defective sector on a disk and reassign the defective sector. The write test is used to indicate an abnormal condition of a head. Furthermore, the disk storage device includes a detector for detecting the waiting state, and a check logic for executing a predetermined check.

摘要: A working vehicle for work such as a turf grass management is provided, which has an improved climb-up performance and an improved engine-break force at a stage of climbing down a slope. The working vehicle mounts a working machine driven by an engine and also a continuously variable transmission thereon, and has a climb-up or climb-down mode Df which sets a transmission ratio of the continuously variable transmission at a maximum value during travel of a slope. The climb-up or climb-down mode Df is selected by an operation of a shift lever or automatically detected by climb-up or climb-down detectors. When the mode Df is set, a pulley ratio of the continuously variable transmission is controlled so as to have the maximum transmission ratio based on a command signal of a control unit.

摘要: An actuator control system and a magnetic disk device having a hybrid control system. The actuator control system includes an LPF that can be processed by the hardware architecture of a HDD that does not include a state estimator. The actuator control system includes an actuator 10, a VCM driver circuit 11 for driving the actuator 10, an ADC 12 for converting the position signal from the actuator 10 into a digital position signal, an MPU 13 for generating the control signal to the actuator 10 in response to the digital position signal, a DAC 14 for converting the control signal into an analog control signal, and an LPF 15 coupled between DAC 14 and VCM driver circuit 11. The MPU 13 compensates the phase delay resulting from the LPF 15 by digital control. Additionally, the digital control reconstructs the state model of a plant including the LPF 15 to a state model requiring no state estimator.

摘要: A shock absorbing type steering device for use in a motor vehicle, comprising a shaft adapted to transmit a torque from a steering wheel to a steering gear, which shaft consists of a first solid shaft portion and a second hollow or cylindrical shaft portion. The second cylindrical shaft portion includes a small diameter portion and a large diameter portion. Part of the first solid shaft portion is rigidly fitted in the aforesaid small diameter portion of the second cylindrical shaft portion with the aid of shear pins, while a shock-absorbing resilient material is contained in the aforesaid large diameter portion of the second cylindrical shaft portion. The shock absorbing material is of such a property that it is ruptured due to stresses exceeding a given level. A passage leading from the interior of the aforesaid large diameter portion of the second cylindrical shaft portion to atmosphere runs either through the first solid shaft portion or through the second cylindrical shaft portion.
