    摘要: A vehicle safety alert system. The system includes a controller disposed within a vehicle and a plurality of transmitters disposed along a roadway. The controller receives speed limit data from the transmitters and then both notifies a driver of the current speed limit and alerts the driver if the vehicle exceeds the speed limit. The controller also includes GPS components and is configured to upload vehicle location data to a database and server via an existing network. The transmitters are configured to receive vehicle speed and identification information and relay the information to a server. The information regarding vehicle speed, location, and identification is then sent from the database to the appropriate monitoring agency via the server.

    摘要: A speed adjusting system for vehicles includes an accelerator, such as a throttle pedal, a speed adjusting device, such as a throttle or a fuel injection pump, which is adjustable by operating the accelerator, and a control unit which is connected to the accelerator and which is settable between a first operating position, in which the accelerator is operable without difficulty, and a second operating position, in which the accelerator is operable with difficulty. The second operating position constitutes a basic state of the control unit, the difficulty, with which the accelerator is operable when the control unit is arranged in the basic state, appearing as a resistance which is generated by the control unit and acts on the accelerator and which must be overcome for operating the accelerator and which clearly exceeds the resistance that exists for operating a conventional accelerator. The control unit comprises a drive, the drive, on activation, being adapted to counteract the resistance, which control unit will thus be arranged in its first operating position by activating the drive. The invention also relates to a control-unit which can be arranged in such a system, and a method for adjusting the speed of a vehicle.

    摘要: A driving assist system for assisting manual effort by an operator to operate an accelerator pedal of a motor vehicle, the driving assist system comprises a data acquisition sub-system acquiring data including information on state of the motor vehicle and information on environment in a field around the motor vehicle. Control logic determines the degree of risk in the field around the motor vehicle in response to the acquired data. An actuator is provided, which is operable in response to a command for generating reaction force at the accelerator pedal. Control logic simply increases an increment of reaction force between a first reaction force increment and a second reaction force increment as the determined degree of risk grows from a predetermined cutoff value to a predetermined critical value to determine the command for regulating the actuator to realize the increment in reaction force. The first reaction force increment has a first magnitude in an area of a lower limit of a predetermined range, in magnitude, of increment in reaction force, which the vehicle operator can perceive through the sense of touch during depressing the accelerator pedal. The second reaction force increment has a second magnitude in an area of an upper limit of the predetermined range.
