摘要: A receiver apparatus capable of retaining the quality of video images received through complexity-reduced small-load processing without having to depend upon its associated transmitter device. In cases where an instruction is made for receiving streaming data in the process of performing the processing of download data, when the loss of such streaming data is predicted to increase in such a way as to go beyond a predetermined degree if both the processing of download data and the processing of streaming data are performed at a time, the receiver performs the processing of the streaming data by giving thereto a higher level of priority.

摘要: In a communication system, a source node responds to a packet by transmitting a signaling message to an ATM network, containing source and destination network-layer addresses and source and destination transport-layer addresses of the packet. The ATM network includes a filtering table having a plurality of entries each storing source and destination network-layer addresses and source and destination transport-layer addresses. Upon receipt of the signaling message, the ATM network returns a grant indication message to the source node if contents of the received signaling message are identical to contents of one of the entries of the filtering table, and establishes a virtual connection between the source node and a destination node. The source node is responsive to the grant indication message for storing the network-layer addresses and transport-layer addresses of the received packet into a virtual connection management table, segments a subsequently received packet into cells and transmits the cells over the virtual connection if the packet contains addresses identical to the addresses stored in the virtual connection management table.

摘要: A communication channel establishing method by which point-to-multipoint or multipoint-to-point connections by a communication network which includes exchanges (switches) can be established at a high speed. When a connection establishment request designating called users 11, 12 and 13 is received from calling user 10, switch 100 retrieves routes to the individual called users and selects switch 102 in the next stage and sends out a connection establishment request to switch 102 designating called users 11, 12 and 13. Switch 102 further retrieves routes to the individual called users and selects switch 103 for called users 11 and 12, but selects switch 104 for called user 13. Then, switch 102 sends out connection establishment requests to switches 103 and 104 individually designating the relevant called users. Any connection establishment request received from a switch of the preceding stage is successively repeated to a selected switch in the next stage until each called user is reached.

摘要: In a packet switched network, each network node has line and trunk ports to which LAN user terminals and links are connected and which are identified by a port address containing a node number plus a port number. Each of the user terminals transmits a first signaling packet when establishing a connection before sending information-bearing packets, containing in it a source network address which includes a protocol identifier and a source user address, and a destination network address which includes the same protocol identifier and a destination user address. Each network node includes a memory for establishing correspondences between the network addresses of remote user terminals, the port addresses of the remote user terminals, and the port numbers of the ports of the network node through which local user terminals are accessible to the remote user terminals. The network node responds to a second signaling packet received from a user by detecting in the memory a corresponding port address and a corresponding port number and appending the detected port address to the second signaling packet and transmitting it to one of the ports of the node according to the detected port number.

摘要: A pipe for a cooling unit comprises an outer pipe, and an inner pipe shorter than the outer pipe and located at an evaporating portion in the outer pipe, a circulation gap being defined between the inner wall surface of the outer pipe and the outer wall surface of the inner pipe and leading from one end to the other end of the inner pipe, whereby working liquid is permitted to boil up continuously and stably in the evaporating portion even uder a low temperature flow of working liquid. Also, a cooling unit comprises a plurality of pipes for the cooling unit as noted above, which are arranged as standing side by side vertically or obliquely, and upper and lower header pipes communicating to the upper and lower ends of these pipes, respectively, whereby the thermal conductivity is increased even under the low temperature flow of working liquid, and a plurality of portions to be individually cooled are permitted to be cooled down in case of employment of a heat pipe cooling system for cooling, even if the levels of these portions differ from each other. An individual cooling system comprises a plurality of cooling units as noted above to circulate the refrigerant, whereby a plurality of partitioned spaces are permitted to be cooled down individually and efficiently.

摘要: A high speed freezing apparatus in use for a refrigerator. In the freezing apparatus, evaporators for the cold and freezing chambers are coupled in a series relation with respect to a compressor. An electromagnetic valve is provided in parallel with the evaporator for the cold chamber. When a high speed freezing start signal is produced from an operating section mounted on a front panel of a door for the freezing chamber, a timer circuit provided in a control section is operated. An operating condition of the compressor is detected by a detecting transformer and a given signal is produced from a start-failure preventing circuit. The start signal is transferred through a gate circuit to a relay portion only during the time that the given signal is transmitted to a gate circuit. Through the relay portion, the compressor and the electromagnetic valve are driven, so that the refrigerant is supplied to only the evaporator for the freezing chamber to start the high speed freezing operation. The time period of the high speed freezing operation is controlled by a timer circuit.
