摘要： An apparatus and method provide effective video transmission in a communication system that supports an Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) service between heterogeneous networks. A request for a contiguous service is received from a terminal during a mid-point of a video stream. A delay time that may be generated when the video contents are transmitted is estimated for each of a patching type and a fast broadcasting type. A transmission type with a shorter delay time for the video contents is determined based on the estimated delay time for each of the patching type and the fast broadcasting type. And the video contents are transmitted to the terminal by applying the determined transmission type.

摘要： Disclosed is a DMB data receiving apparatus and method for improving a DMB data receiving speed. According to the DMB data receiving apparatus and method, if there are predetermined MSC data, which have not been received or received with an error when receiving MSC data by a DMB reception terminal, the DMB reception terminal can receive the predetermined MSC data through a return channel established between the DMB reception terminal and a broadcasting station. In detail, if there are predetermined MSC data, which have not been received or received with an error, the DMB reception terminal request the broadcasting station to transmit the predetermined MSC data and to allow establishment of a return channel, and then receives the predetermined MSC data through a return channel established based on the request. Therefore, when some MOT content data have not been received or received with an error, the DMB reception terminal can immediately receive the corresponding MOT content data without waiting until the next MOT data transmission period begins, thereby greatly improving the DMB data receiving speed.

Upon receipt of a broadcast service request, the mobile communication terminal determines whether a first ESG about the broadcast service has been stored. When the first ESG has been stored, the mobile communication terminal requests the service provider to first transmit broadcast data among a second ESG and the broadcast data contained in the broadcast service, based on the first ESG. The mobile communication terminal receives the broadcast data first from the service provider and displays the received broadcast data.

摘要： Disclosed is a method of recording and storing a broadcast content received for mobile broadcast services in a transmitting-end level. A broadcast receiving terminal includes a type of the key profile in the header of the recorded file for the particular broadcast content, the CIEK which is used in encrypting the broadcast content and encrypted with the second layer encryption key, and the acquisition information on the second layer encryption key. The acquisition information on the second layer encryption key is included in a corresponding field of the header according to the type of the used profile. As in the SRTP and IPSec, a recorded file format in the transmitting-end level recording is the PDCF. Information associated with the encryption of the encrypted broadcast content is stored in the OMA DRM common header box (ohdr box) of the PDCF recorded file.
