摘要： Provided is an apparatus and a method for transmitting/receiving Electronic Service Guide (ESG) data in a digital video broadcasting system. The method includes creating ESG data bursts by grouping ESG data supporting a plurality of languages for each ESG support language; establishing sessions corresponding to respective ESG data bursts; creating ESG setting data including session information and ESG grouping criteria information, the session information including Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and port numbers corresponding to the entire sessions, respectively, the ESG grouping criteria information indicating that the ESG data bursts are grouped for each ESG support language; and broadcasting the ESG setting data via a specific session and broadcasting the ESG data bursts via the established sessions.

摘要： Disclosed is a method of notifying reconfiguration of the IP/MAC platform in a Digital Video Broadcasting DVB system. This method requires a Program Map Table (PMT) including a warning data field for representing reconfiguration of the IP/MAC platform and a time data field for representing the time of the reconfiguration. The DVB receiving terminal periodically monitors the PMT to prepare for the reconfiguration of the IP/MAC platform. Thus the DVB receiving terminal provides the DVB services to the user without interruption.

摘要： Disclosed is a broadcasting system and method for transmitting/receiving a broadcast data in a broadcasting system, which reduces an application download period by efficiently utilizing a data broadcasting stream and a return channel for application download when a reception terminal receives a data broadcast. The broadcasting system and method includes a data broadcast reception terminal to receive the broadcast data and a bi-directional broadcasting server to communicate with the data broadcast reception terminal through a return channel: the data broadcast reception terminal receives a data broadcast stream during one broadcast transmission period, and requests the bi-directional broadcasting server to transmit a portion of the data broadcast stream (e.g. section data) through the return channel when the section data of the received data broadcast stream is lost; the bi-directional broadcasting server transmits the section data to the data broadcast reception terminal when a download request is received for the section data from the data broadcast reception terminal; and the data broadcast reception terminal performs modularization using a received lost section data and the previously-received section data to extract application files when receiving the lost section data and displays the extracted application files on a screen.

摘要： A terrestrial DMB receiver using an imaginary channel in a terrestrial DMB system is disclosed. The terrestrial DMB receiver includes: a key input unit for receiving an input from a user; a display unit for providing image output to the user; an imaginary channel storage unit for storing information on imaginary channels designated to each broadcasting service by the user; a DMB receiving unit for receiving terrestrial DMB broadcasting; a MCI/SI analyzer for analyzing MCI and SI of FIC information from a DMB broadcasting signal received through the DMB receiving unit; and a controller for searching for the imaginary channel storage unit according to values of number keys input from the key input unit, extracting service IDs, controlling the DMB receiving unit to select broadcasting services according to the extracted service IDs, checking the information analyzed through the MCI/SI analyzer, and performing an update for the imaginary channel storage unit.
