    摘要： An external memory system for use with an imaging system, and methods for archiving digital content are provided. The external memory system has a communications link adapted to exchange data with the imaging system; an archival memory device interface adapted to store data using an archival memory; and an external memory system processor adapted to automatically obtain content data files from the imaging system that have not yet been stored by the external memory system, to prepare the obtained content data files for archival storage and to cause the archival memory device interface to store the prepared content data files without guidance from an ancillary device; wherein said external memory system processor maintains a record of each content data file that has been stored using the external memory system and wherein the external memory system processor uses the record to identify content data files that have not yet been stored.

    摘要： Scanner modules are provided for use with a docking station having a docking station interface adapted to receive an interface of an imaging device; the scanner module has an image-scanning unit adapted to form an image of a medium; a controller to controllably cause the image scanning unit to capture an image of the medium and to store the captured image as image data in a memory; and a scanner interface adapted so that it can be received by the docking station interface. The controller is connected to the scanner interface and adapted to send image data from the memory through the docking station interface in a manner that emulates the manner in which the imaging device sends image data through the docking station interface. Some embodiments of the scanner module can be manually or automatically moved to scan mediums.

The outside load drum processor includes a circular member that includes a first wall, a second wall and a side-wall that connects the first wall to the second wall and extends around a perimeter of the circular member. A flexible shield member is wrapped around an outer surface of the side-wall so that a processing path for photographic material to be processed is defined between at least the outer surface of the side-wall and the inner surface of the flexible shield member. The circular drum member is rotated for processing of photographic film within the processing path.
