Abstract:
The present invention provides a liquid level control system and method. The present invention achieves a uniformly soaking process of a substrate during different segments of a fixed time period, by using a liquid removal device to gradually remove a processing liquid from a tank. The substrate is disposed in the liquid in the tank to be wet processed. By the removal of the liquid from the tank via the liquid removal device, an area of the portion of the substrate being processed by the liquid can be gradually decreased whereby the substrate can be uniformly processed.
Abstract:
A high speed motion picture film processor has a developer tank having a positive pressure relative to an ambient air pressure outside of the tank. A gas make-up system adds nitrogen inside of the developer tank while a system of seals minimizes leakage. Two seals are used along a periphery of the developer tank; one is below a sprocket level while the other is above the sprocket level. These two barriers can utilize a liquid reservoir that is filled by operation of the processor with excess liquid returning to the developer tank and they are constructed so as to allow movement. A film entrance sealing device and a film exit sealing device, each with its own housing, are also used with the developer tank; these units use a pair of rollers and a pair of flexible barriers to separate a tank gas chamber from an air chamber which is at a lower pressure and which contains a partial pressure of nitrogen fed into the entrance sealing device. The level of developer fluid is maintained at approximately the centerline of a first roller shaft but below that of a second roller shaft. The sprocket shaft has two smaller shafts mounted in metal bearings and a center tube on which the sprockets are mounted. Oxygen sensors with throttling exhaust devices outside the developer tank sound an alarm when oxygen level is too high in the developer tank. Reservoir fluid seals may also be used on secondary tanks.
Abstract:
A drive shaft, which is driven by a drive motor, is held firmly at two points by bearing structures. The bearing structure has a hole in which a bearing member is fit. The bearing member has hole, which is concentric with respect to the hole in which the bearing member is fit. A crimp, which is made of elastic material, having interfering portions that interfere with the bearing member is provided between the bearing member and the hole in the bearing structure in which the bearing member is fit.
Abstract:
The hoses connected to parts of a photosensitive material processor, like to a processing tank, are formed from a styrene containing or olefin containing thermoplastic elastomer. Plasticizers such as those found in PVC hoses are not used in the material so cracking does not occur in the portions connecting the hoses to the processing tanks. Further, since it is not necessary to make the connecting portions of the processing tanks out of metal in order to prevent cracking, the manufacturing costs of the processor can be reduced.
Abstract:
The printing apparatus includes an image forming section for preparing prints and a packer which gathers the prints and packages them in a print pack or print packs. The image forming section prepares for each print pack an order print that shows information relevant to one order and supplies the prints and the order print into the packer in such a way that an information side of the order print will be on top in the print pack and distribution information showing that the prints for one order are distributed among the print packs is indicated on the order print. The packer feeds the prints into a long packaging sheet and thereafter seals and cuts the packaging sheet and performs only sealing of each print pack according to the distribution information and outputs the print packs for one order in a continuous form.
Abstract:
A washing bath in a photographic paper processor has plural washing chambers for washing photographic paper with washing water by passage of the photographic paper. Plural cell units are coupled with one another vertically by a modular structure. Each of the cell units has one of the washing chambers. A sealing medium of silicone rubber keeps a cell connection portion between the cell units in a liquid-tight state. A blade mechanism is secured to a panel constituting the cell units, allows the photographic paper to pass between the washing chambers, and blocks passage of the washing water. A transporting rack transports the photographic paper serially to pass the washing chambers. The cell connection portion includes a connection surface, disposed to extend horizontally, and separable for removal of the cell units in the vertical direction. The sealing medium is secured to one of two cell units being coupled.
Abstract:
A photo-finishing apparatus for a silver halide photosensitive material, including an agitating device to agitate or circulate a processing solution in a processing tank, a time detecting device to detect an elapsed time since a processing operation was completed, a temperature detecting device to detect temperature of the processing solution in the processing tank, and a control section to control operation of the agitating device by such ways that when the time detecting device detects a predetermined elapsed time, the control section deactivates the agitating device, and when the temperature detecting device detects that the temperature of the processing solution in the processing tank has dropped lower than a predetermined lower limit temperature, the control section re-activates the agitating device, and continues to activate until the temperature detecting device detects that the temperature of the processing solution in the processing tank has increased to a predetermined acceptable processing temperature.

Abstract:
An image recording device which cuts an elongated photosensitive material, and disposes plural rows of photosensitive material sheets in parallel, and simultaneously conveys the photosensitive material sheets. The elongated photosensitive material pulled-out from a magazine is cut by a cutter into a plurality of sheet-shaped photographic printing papers of predetermined widths. The photographic printing papers are conveyed by first conveying roller pairs to predetermined positions on a conveying path. Due to nipping of the first conveying roller pairs being released, the photographic printing papers, which have been conveyed to conveying positions of respective rows, abut a stopper such that trailing ends of the photographic printing papers are aligned. Further, due to the plurality of photographic printing papers being nipped by second roller pairs, the plurality of photographic printing papers are conveyed toward an exposure position simultaneously in plural rows on the conveying path.
Abstract:
At least two (groups of) sensors forming an insertion detection sensor are offset from each other in the conveyance direction of a photosensitive material. An insertion speed, which is different for each manual insertion event, is obtained based on the time difference when sensors that have been offset from each other detect the leading end of the photosensitive material. The length of the photosensitive material in the conveyance direction thereof is accurately computed based on the insertion speed and other information. By correcting the errors due to the changeable insertion state of the photosensitive material caused by manual insertion by the operator, the process area of the photosensitive material, required for calculating the amount of replenisher to be replenished, is accurately obtained. Therefore, the amount of the replenisher is appropriately determined and the process capacity of the developer or the fixing solution can constantly be maintained at the satisfactory level.
