摘要: A portable communication terminal which can establish communications between portable communication terminals by Bluetooth or the like by a simple operation are provided. An initiator terminal activates a short-distance radio communication section to make a Bluetooth function active and sends a request to start communications using a Bluetooth communication function to an acceptor terminal through a general communications network such as a telephone network or the like. The acceptor terminal makes the Bluetooth communication function active when it responds to the communication-starting request and sends a Bluetooth connection request to the initiator terminal by using the Bluetooth communication function. The initiator terminal responds to the Bluetooth connection request whereby a Bluetooth connecting session is established.

摘要: When a receiver unit receives second data composed of check bits and first data obtained by encoding information bits indicating the communication contents by way of a first generator matrix based on a first generating polynomial, and then further encoding the first data by way of a second generator matrix of an irreducible standard form based on a second generating polynomial, an error location detector decodes the second data received by way of a second check matrix that is orthogonal to the second generator matrix so as to detect errors produced in the first data. A dummy syndrome generator generates a dummy syndrome of the error produced in the information bits based on the detected error location and on the first generating polynomial. A syndrome generator takes the product of the data obtained by excluding the check bits from the second data received by the receiver unit and the first check matrix that is orthogonal to the first generator matrix so as to generate a syndrome that indicates the error syndrome produced in the information bits. Finally, an error corrector corrects errors produced in the information bits if the dummy syndrome generated by the dummy syndrome generator is the same as the syndrome generated by the syndrome generator.

摘要: In a mobile communication system, when a mobile station (PS1 to PSj) makes a request for connection to a service provider (SP), a base station (BS1 to BSn) acquires an IP address "IP1" assigned for the base stations and assigns to the requesting mobile station an IP address "IP2" for the mobile stations that has been acquired in advance in place of the IP address "IP1". When data transfer is started, the base station changes the source address in data sent by the mobile station from "IP2" to "IP1" and then transfers the resulting data to the service provider. On the other hand, the base station changes the destination address of data sent by the service provider from "IP1" for the base stations to "IP2" for the mobile stations for subsequent transfer to the mobile station.
