Disclosed is a high frequency (HF) amplifier to be used at a high frequency, typically in the range of 9 GHz to 12 GHz, in which coupling of input side and output side is prevented to achieve high gain without influence on the fidelity of amplification. The HF amplifier comprises a metal case consisting of a box type container and a lid, an amplifying element installed on a dielectric, insulating board at the bottom of the case, and leads connected to the input circuit and the output circuit of the amplifying element and extending outside through both the end walls of the case. The HF amplifier is characterized by disposition of an electromagnetic wave-absorbing sheet or sheets inside of at least one of both the side walls, the ceiling, and both the end walls so as to prevent electromagnetic coupling.

An object of the present invention is to provide a shielding sheet which has a high and stable shieldability to electromagnetic waves, has a sufficient pliability, and can be easily wound around a cable and the like. The shielding sheets 1, 1', and 1" each having a pliable insulating layer 2, a powder layer 3 in which a powder 4 made of soft magnetic metal or alloy, having an average particle diameter of less than 100 .mu.m, is buried in layers along at least one surface of the insulating layer 2 and/or at the midpoint position along the thickness direction. It also includes a shielding sheet 1a in which a powder 4 is distributed in the middle portion 5 of the insulating layer 2 at the ratio of less than 70% by volume to the powder layer 3, 3 along both surfaces. Furthermore, shielding sheets 1, 1a, 1', and 1", in which a powder 4 of the powder layer is flat shaped, the aspect ratio being more than 2, and the powder is buried in a manner that the longer diameter direction of the powder is almost along the plane surface direction of the insulating layer 2, are also included within the scope of the present invention.

Disclosed is soft magnetic alloy powder for electromagnetic and magnetic shield, which can be easily flattened and exhibits good performance over a high frequency band, and a shielding member of good shield effect prepared by dispersing the powder in a matrix of rubber or plastics. Powder of a soft magnetic alloy, which consists essentially of, by weight %, Cr: 0.5.0-20%, Si: 0.01-0.5%, Al: 0.01-20% and the balance of Fe and inevitable impurities, is flattened in an attritor, and is added to the matrix material at a content of 30 wt. % or higher, preferably, as high as possible, and processed to form sheets or molded articles. The shielding member of particularly high flame resistance is prepared by adding soft magnetic alloy powder of alloy composition consisting essentially of, by weight %, Cr: 5-14%, Si: 0.01-0.5%, Al: 0.5-20%, and preferably, REM: up to 0.5%, and the balance of Fe and inevitable impurities, after being flattened, is added to a matrix material of chlorine-containing flame resistant rubber or plastics at a high content, and processed to form sheets or molded articles.
