摘要： A communication cable used to connect a peripheral device to a computer has a first cable, a second cable and a patch unit. The first cable encloses a set of power lines and a set of data lines, and the second cable encloses a set of data lines. The patch unit includes a socket with first and second contacts. In the patch unit, the sets of data lines of the first and second cables are connected. One of the power lines is connected to the first contact, and another of the power lines is connected to the second contact. The first cable connects the patch unit with the peripheral device, and the second cable connects the patch unit with the computer. When power is applied from an external source to the first and second contacts, the power is supplied from the first and second contacts to the peripheral device.

摘要： An electronic camera of a type employing an optical low-pass filter to eliminate moire pattern effects wherein the overall size of the camera is reduced and an optimum shutter efficiency is obtained. The camera includes, in order, an objective lens, a retractable mirror, a focal plane shutter, and an image pickup device. The optical low-pass filter is positioned between the retractable mirror and the focal plane shutter. The arrangement avoids interference with the path of the retractable mirror and prevents an increase in the distance between the focal length shutter and the image pickup device.

摘要： An electromagnetic release device for a single-lens reflex camera which maintains an armature engaged with an electromagnet used to effect shutter release for a maximum period of time to prevent accumulation of dust between the armature and the pole face of the electromagnet. An energizing spring urges an armature lever towards the electromagnet. An armature disengaging spring connected between the armature lever and a mirror driving lever urges the armature lever away from the electromagnet. The armature disengaging spring is positioned and has a spring constant such that a tensile force provided thereby for moving the armature lever away from the electromagnet when the mirror driving lever reaches an upper position thereof is smaller than the force of energizing spring urging the armature lever towards the electromagnet.

摘要： An electronic camera capable of both still picture photographing and motion picture photographing in which one operation can be switched over to the other with ease and in which a bright image of the object is provided in the viewfinder with little attenuation in the video signal level. Upon selection of the motion picture photographing mode, the image reflecting mirror is automatically retracted from the photographing optical path and the focal plane shutter is maintained open. The image reflecting mirror drive mechanism and the focal plane shutter drive mechanism are used for both still picture photographing and motion picture photographing operations. Also, the shutter release switch is used for both operations. In the motion picture photographing mode, the degree of opening of the aperture opening and closing mechanism is changed in accordance with the luminance of the image being photographed, while for still picture photographing, the exposure is controlled with the focal plane shutter.
