摘要: An iron-type golf club head having plural cavities formed in a back surface of a head body. A back surface 1A of a metallic head body 1 is formed with plural cavities 5, each being formed semispherical and opposite to a face 4 of the head body 1. The cavities 5 are formed by forging, thus forming even and fine tissues and grain flow. Further, according to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the cavities 5 are disposed regularly on the back surface 1A Accordingly, the toughness and durability of material can be enhanced, so that face 4 can be made thinner to a 1.0 to 3.5 mm thickness for optimal weight distribution. As a result, a larger sweet area can be realized without damaging a strength of head.

摘要: A golf club head, especially relating to an iron golf club head having a balance weight secured to the back of a head body, provided for improvemnt of securing such balance weight thereto. The back surface of the head body and the front surface of the weight are provided with concave portions opposite to each other, of which the side-peripheral surfaces decrease their cross-widths toward their contact surfaces. Into a space between the back and front surfaces is filled a connecting material such as an adhesive, and then solidified, thereby easily joining the head body to the weight, which can be ensured thanks to dovetail structures of the concave portions.

摘要: A metallic golf club head of which the center of gravity is kept a large distance off from a face to enlarge a sweet area, which also enables players to hit balls more easily upward. In one embodiment, a back crust of the head body made of pure titanium or titanium alloy is formed with a window aperture, into which is secured a weight made of beryllium copper alloy. In another embodiment, a weight is secured onto a sole by vises with a large specific gravity. According to the invention, the center of gravity of head body is capable of being positioned as backward and low as possible, so that the distance between the face and the center of gravity can be elongated, making it easier to hit balls upward.

摘要: An electric generating power plant and a method of operation thereof wherein the boiler (1) produces steam to a turbine driven-generator (2), carbon dioxide from combustion exhaust gas emitted from the boiler is simultaneously absorbed in an absorbing solution in an absorber (7), the absorbing solution with the absorbed carbon dioxide is passed through a regenerator (10) where the carbon dioxide is stripped from the absorbing solution, the regenerated absorbing solution is returned to the absorber (7), and steam from either the boiler (1) or turbine of the turbine-driven generator (2) is supplied to a reboiler (13) to provide heat for operation of the regenerator (10). During periods of high demand for electric power steam extraction from the boiler or turbine is discontinued, operation of the regenerator (10) is discontinued and the absorbing solution from the absorber (7) is stored in a first storage unit (15). During periods of low power demand steam is supplied to the reboiler (13) from the boiler (1) or turbine and absorbing solution from the first storage unit (15) is fed to the regenerator (10) for operation thereof, and absorbing solution stripped of carbon dioxide from the regenerator (10) is stored in a second storage unit (16). Absorbing solution from the second storage unit (16) is fed to the absorber (7) during periods of high power demand.

摘要: An apparatus for attaching a bar code to a reticle case has an elevating base which is movable up and down and is rotatable with the reticle case placed thereon. The reticle case contains therein a reticle so as to be taken in and taken out through an outlet on a side thereof. An opening device for opening the outlet of the reticle case is positioned in a predetermined position. Take-in/takeout device lifts the reticle while the outlet is open and then transfer the reticle between an inside of the reticle case and a transfer device outside the reticle case. A carrying base receives the reticle held by the transfer device and then moves it to and from a position in front of a reading device for reading a mark which is marked on the reticle. A label attaching device prints, on a label, a bar code according to a signal from the reading device and then attaches the label, on which the bar code has been printed, to the reticle case.

摘要: A semiconductor device producing method wherein a patterned transparent electrode, a patterned amorphous silicon semiconductor layer and a patterned backside electrode are formed on a substrate sequentially in this order, and the patterning of at least one of the amorphous silicon semiconductor layer and the backside electrode is carried out in a step of forming at least one of the amorphous silicon semiconductor layer and the backside electrode with a wire mask being brought into substantially close contact with a surface subjected to film forming and a step of removing a thin film formed at a region between the wire mask and the surface subjected to film forming in the forming step; and a film forming apparatus used in the producing method comprising a holder which holds a substrate having a surface subjected to film forming, a mechanism for fixing and positioning the substrate on the holder and a plurality of wires which are disposed on the film forming surface side of the substrate and are to be brought into substantially close contact with the film forming surface. The method and the apparatus enable the film forming operation and the patterning operation to be carried out simultaneously without lowering the characteristics of a solar cell.
