In another example, the QoS value can be indicated in the packet along with a reflective indicator indicating to use the QoS value in transmitting a response to the packet.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for configuring sidelink communications between user equipment's (UEs). Per one technique, during a discovery opportunity, a first UE and a second UE may identify a subset of beam pairs suitable for communication, and schedule a discontinuous transmission (DTX) occasion during the discovery opportunity. During the DTX occasion, the first UE and second UE may perform a beam refinement procedure to determine a beam pair (BP) over which to communicate, from the identified subset of beam pairs. The beam refinement procedure may include beam narrowing of at least one of the identified subset of beam pairs.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a method for wireless communications by a first UE. The method includes receiving a data transmission from a second UE. The data transmission is associated with a feedback procedure for data transmissions that is based on a distance between the first UE and a transmitting UE. When the first UE (i) cannot successfully decode the data transmission and (ii) cannot determine the distance between the first UE and the second UE, the method includes determining whether one or more criteria are satisfied for sending, to the second UE, a negative acknowledgement (NACK) for the data transmission as part of the feedback procedure, where the NACK indicates the first UE could not successfully decode the data transmission. The method including transmitting the NACK to the second UE when the one or more criteria are satisfied.

The apparatus measures a received power of the transmission from the second UE. The apparatus excludes the reserved resources indicated by the second UE from a set of candidate resources based on the received power of the transmission from the second UE meeting a threshold, where the threshold is based at least in part on whether the reserved resources are associated with a retransmission.

A method that may be performed by a UE (e.g., such as a P-UE) includes determining a level of channel congestion for a channel during a first sensing duration. The method includes determining a second sensing duration and a transmission duration based on the level of channel congestion for the channel determined from the first sensing duration. The method includes sensing the channel for the second sensing duration. The method includes transmitting on the channel for the transmission duration.
