Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method includes receiving, from a base station, downlink control information indicating at least a portion of a frequency domain basis vector being applied by the base station for frequency domain precoding of a reference signal scheduled for transmission via a set of antenna ports, receiving, from the base station, the reference signal that is frequency domain precoded in accordance with the at least portion of the frequency domain basis vector via the set of antenna ports, and transmitting, to the base station, a report indicating an antenna port subset of the set of antenna ports and a precoding coefficient for each antenna port of the antenna port subset.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration message from a base station, and the configuration message may include an indication of one or more partial bands for channel state information reporting. Each partial band of the one or more partial bands may be less than a system bandwidth and include a plurality of frequency domain units associated with a precoder. The UE may select one or more antenna ports for each partial band of the one or more partial bands based on the configuration message and calculate channel state information including a linear combination of the selected one or more antenna ports for each partial band. The UE may transmit the channel state information including an indication of the selected antenna ports and linear combination coefficients for each partial band of the one or more partial bands

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may indicate to the network (e.g., a base station that the UE is communicating with) that the UE is transitioning to an energy harvesting mode, and the network may transmit an indication of a radio resource that is configured for the energy harvesting mode. The UE may communicate with the network via the configured radio resource during the energy harvesting mode. The network may transmit one or more parameters that may trigger the UE to enter the energy harvesting mode. The UE may transmit an indication that the UE is transitioning out of the energy harvesting mode to a normal capability mode, or the UE may transmit an indication that the UE is staying in the energy harvesting mode. The network may indicate, to the UE, a radio resource for a normal capability mode.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first network entity may encode first information using keying modulation. The first network entity may encode second information using frequency modulated continuous waveform (FMCW) modulation. The first network entity may transmit a communication that includes a first layer indicating the first information and a second layer indicating the second information. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for phase difference based object classification in sensing are described. An apparatus is configured to receive, from a network entity, a sensing configuration. The sensing configuration indicates measurements of a phase or a phase difference for classification of objects in sensing operations. The measurements are associated with a set of sensing entity antennas. The apparatus is configured to sense objects via the set of antennas, perform the measurements, and provide, for the network entity, an indication of the performed measurements of the phase and phase difference. An apparatus is configured to transmit, for a sensing entity, a sensing configuration. The sensing configuration indicates measurements of a phase or a phase difference for classification of objects in sensing operations. The measurements are associated with a set of antennas of the sensing entity. The apparatus is configured to obtain, from the sensing entity, an indication of the measurements.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and techniques for performing wireless communication. In some aspects, a method performed at a user equipment (UE) may include obtaining configuration information for communicating with one or more aircrafts. In some examples, the method can include generating a message based at least in part on the configuration information. In some cases, the method can include outputting the message for transmission to at least one aircraft of the one or more aircrafts.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, an indication that the base station supports visible light communication (VLC). The UE may deactivate a radio frequency (RF) receiver of the UE based on the indication, and may receive a VLC message at a photo detector of the UE while the RF receiver of the UE is deactivated. In some examples, the UE may activate the RF receiver based on a content of the VLC message, which may include a physical cell identifier (PCI), a UE identifier, or a system information value tag, among other examples. Accordingly, the UE may communicate with the base station using the RF receiver. The described techniques may provide for reduced power consumption at the UE, among other benefits.
