    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration of a first timing advance timer associated with a first type of communication having a first size. The UE may select a timing advance timer from the first timing advance timer and a second timing advance timer that is associated with a second type of communication having a size that is greater than the first size. The UE may transmit a communication of the first type of communication based at least in part on the selected timing advance timer. Numerous other aspects are described.

    Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer program products for monitoring system information change are provided. An example method may include receiving, from a network entity, a configuration for an initial downlink (DL) bandwidth part (BWP) associated with a small data transmission (SDT) procedure, where a synchronization signal block (SSB) is configured to be transmitted in the initial DL BWP associated with the SDT procedure. The example method may further include receiving, from the network entity, a paging early indication (PEI) that indicates no paging physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) is scheduled for a first paging occasion (PO) or a first PO group. The example method may further include skipping monitoring for a system information change indication in the first PO or the first PO group in response to reception of the PEI.

    Abstract: A UE and a base station are disclosed. The UE may receive, from a base station, an indication of a configuration of an SS and a set of candidate DL-RSs associated with a plurality of CG-SDT resources. The base station may monitor for the UL data transmission from the UE corresponding to a CG-SDT occasion of the CG-SDT resources. The UE may measure a RSRP of each of the set of candidate DL-RSs associated with the CG-SDT resources. The UE may select an UL beam based on the measured RSRP of each of the set of candidate DL-RSs associated with the CG-SDT resources. The UE may transmit, to the base station via the selected UL beam, the UL data transmission over a CG-SDT occasion of the plurality of CG-SDT resources. The UE may monitor the SS for a response to the UL data transmission from the base station.
