Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a base station may transmit, to a secondary user equipment (UE), a first grant to conditionally transmit one or more data messages over a first set of resources upon completion of a detection procedure. The detection procedure may include monitoring a second set of resources for over-the-air (OTA) signals transmitted by a primary UE pursuant to a second grant, where the first set of resources at least partially overlaps the second set of resources. The UE may monitor for the OTA signals from the primary UE, determine that one or more conditions for transmission of the one or more data messages have been satisfied, and transmit the one or more data messages over the first set of resources.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a user equipment (UE) that may receive an indication of a proximity discovery resource in a physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) symbol from a network entity. The UE may transmit a proximity discovery request including the indication of the proximity discovery resource. The UE may receive a PSFCH sequence associated with the proximity discovery resource from other UEs that may respond to the proximity discovery request. The UE may transmit a bit map sequence indicative of the other UEs to the network entity. The network entity may determine a proximity between the UE and the other UEs based on the bit map sequence. The network entity may schedule the UE and the other UEs based on the proximity.

A user equipment (UE) may receive a first downlink control information (DCI) message indicating a first listen-before-talk (LBT) grant for accessing a sidelink channel, the first DCI being associated with a first search space of the UE. The UE may then receive a second DCI message indicating a second LBT grant for accessing the channel or an uplink channel, the second DCI being associated with a second search space of the UE and including an activation trigger for the first LBT grant of the first DCI. The UE may then perform a first LBT procedure to access the sidelink channel in accordance with the first LBT grant during a first channel occupancy time (COT). The UE may further perform a second LBT procedure to access the uplink channel during the first COT.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to multiple starting points for new radio sidelink transmission over unlicensed band are provided. In some aspects, a UE may perform a channel access procedure to access a first physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) transmission resource of an unlicensed new radio spectrum. In some aspects, the first PSSCH transmission resource may be reserved by a control message and may include a plurality of transmission starting points. Further, the first UE may transmit first data to a second UE via the first PSSCH transmission resource starting at a later transmission starting point than one or more prior transmission starting points of the plurality of transmission starting points when the performing the channel access procedure fails at each of the one or more prior transmission starting points.

A user equipment (UE) may receive, while operating in a discontinuous reception mode, a grant scheduling a sidelink data message for the UE over a shared radio frequency spectrum band, the grant indicating a set of feedback channel occasions associated with the sidelink data message. The UE may transmit at least one feedback message indicating a feedback status of the sidelink data message during at least one feedback channel occasion of the set of feedback channel occasions. The UE may initiate, based at least in part on the at least one feedback channel occasion, a round-trip timer associated with the at least one feedback message during which the UE suppresses monitoring for a retransmission of the sidelink data message.
