Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for handling of radio frequency front-end group delays (GDs) for round trip time (RTT) estimation. In an aspect, a network entity determines information indicating a network total GD and a user equipment (UE) determines information indicating a UE total GD. The network entity transmits one or more RTT measurement (RTTM) signals to the UE, each including a RTTM waveform. The UE determines one or more one or more RTT response (RTTR) payloads for one or more RTTR signals, each including a RTTR waveform. The UE transmits the RTTR signal(s) to the network entity. For each RTTR signal, a transmission time of the RTTR waveform and/or the RTTR payload is/are determined based on the UE total GD. The network entity determines a RTT between the UE and the network entity based on the RTTM signal(s), the RTTR signal(s), and the information indicating the network total GD.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for variable spreading factor codes for non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA). In an exemplary method, a base station assigns, from a first codebook of N short code sequences of length K, a subset of the short code sequences to a number of user equipments (UEs); receives a signal including uplink data or control signals from two or more of the UEs, wherein a first uplink data or control signal is sent using a first subsequence of one of the assigned short code sequences, and a second uplink data or control signal is sent using a second subsequence of one of the assigned short code sequences or using one of the assigned short code sequences; and decodes each uplink data or control signal in the signal based on the assigned short code sequences and subsequences of the assigned the short code sequences.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify, based at least in part on a codebook, a set of beams to feedback in a channel state information (CSI) feedback communication, and may identify one or more beam groups associated with the set of beams. The UE may select respective one or more transfer domain bases, from a plurality of transfer domain bases, for each beam group of the one or more beam groups, and may determine a plurality of values, for a plurality of bits, that represent beam group identification information associated with the one or more beam groups and transfer domain basis selection information associated with the respective one or more transfer domain bases. The may transmit, to a base station (BS), the plurality of bits in the CSI feedback communication. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for transmitting and processing reference signals for positioning estimation over a multipath multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel. In aspects, a first node configures first and second reference signal resource sets for transmission of first and second sets of reference signals, wherein the first and second reference signal resource sets occur on first and second subbands of, and/or during first and second time intervals on, the MIMO channel, wherein each reference signal resource in the first and second reference signal resource sets utilize at least first and second MIMO precoders, and transmits, to a second node over the MIMO channel, the first and second sets of reference signals, wherein the first node transmits the first and second sets of reference signals to assist the second node to perform a positioning measurement based on joint processing of the first and second sets of reference signals.
