Abstract: A patient interface for delivering breathable gas to a patient includes a nasal prong assembly including a pair of nasal prongs structured to sealingly communicate with nasal passages of a patient's nose in use and headgear to maintain the nasal prong assembly in a desired position on the patient's face. The headgear includes side straps and rigidizers provided to respective side straps. Each rigidizer includes a first end portion that provides a connector structured to engage a respective end of the nasal prong assembly and an inwardly curved protrusion in the form of a cheek support that curves inwardly of the connector. The cheek support is adapted to follow the contour of the patient's cheek and guide a respective end portion of the side strap into engagement with the patient's cheek to provide a stable cheek support.

The cover allows the PAP device to be carried by and/or supported on the patient's head.

Abstract: A cushion assembly for a patient interface including an elastomeric seal-forming structure that is shaped to be bisected by a sagittal plane having a line that is tangent to the elastomeric seal-forming structure at a superior tangent point and at an inferior tangent point. A saddle-shaped superior region of the elastomeric seal-forming structure straddles the sagittal plane and includes the superior tangent point. The elastomeric seal-forming structure transitions in a cylinder-shaped superior region from the saddle-shaped region to a dome-shaped superior region offset from the sagittal plane. In addition, an elastomeric wall thickness of the elastomeric seal-forming structure is greater in the cylinder-shaped superior region than in the saddle-shaped superior region and the dome-shaped superior region.

Abstract: A cushion assembly for a patient interface for sealed delivery of a flow of air at a continuously positive pressure to a patient's airways includes a foam cushion configured to sealingly engage the patient's face; and an elastomeric support portion configured to support the foam cushion and form at least part of a plenum chamber with the foam cushion. The elastomeric support portion includes a support structure and a folded section extending radially inward from the support structure. The folded section acts as a seat for the foam cushion, and the folded portion is configured to allow the foam cushion to roll inward toward an interior of the chamber in response to a compressive force acting on the foam cushion.

Abstract: Aspects of the present technology comprise a positioning and stabilising structure to hold a seal-forming structure in a therapeutically effective position on a head of a patient. The seal-forming structure may be constructed and arranged to form a seal with a region of the patient's face surrounding an entrance to the patient's airways for sealed delivery of a flow of air at a therapeutic pressure of at least 4 cmH2O with respect to ambient air pressure throughout the patient's respiratory cycle in use. The positioning and stabilising structure may comprise a front hoop arranged to contact, in use, at least a region of the patient's head superior to an otobasion superior of the patient's head and a rear strap. The positioning and stabilising structure may comprise an adjustment mechanism for adjustment of the front hoop and the rear strap relative to the patient's head, the adjustment mechanism being arranged in a single operation to adjust both the front hoop and rear strap to enable the positioning and stabilising structure to fit different size heads.

A first support region is located on one side of the sagittal plane between the inferior region and the superior region, the exterior surface of the elastomeric seal forming portion at the first support region being cylinder-shaped and/or saddle-shaped. In addition, a blowout prevention system is configured to counter a force acting on the unsupported edge of the elastomeric seal-forming portion due to a pressure within the chamber, the blowout prevention system being attached to the elastomeric seal-forming portion at the first support region of the elastomeric seal-forming portion.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a patient interface for sealed delivery of a flow of air at a continuously positive pressure with respect to ambient air pressure to an entrance to the patient's airways includes collecting anthropometric data of a patient's face. Anticipated considerations are identified from the collected anthropometric data during use of the patient interface. The collected anthropometric data is processed to provide a transformed data set based on the anticipated considerations, the transformed data set corresponding to at least one customised patient interface component. At least one patient interface component is modeled based on the transformed data set.
