Abstract: A head-mounted display system comprising a head-mounted display unit; and a positioning and stabilising structure structured and arranged to hold the head-mounted display unit in an operational position over a user's face in use, the head-mounted display unit comprising an interfacing structure constructed and arranged to be in opposing relation with the user's face, wherein the interfacing structure comprises a flexible and resilient face engaging portion, the face engaging portion having a pair of check portions configured to contact the user's checks in use, each check portion comprising at least one loop portion having an at least partially enclosed cross section; wherein the interfacing structure comprises a medial support portion medial of each check portion configured to provide support for the at least one loop portion.

Abstract: Aspects of the present technology comprise a positioning and stabilising structure to hold a seal-forming structure in a therapeutically effective position on a head of a patient. The seal-forming structure may be constructed and arranged to form a seal with a region of the patient's face surrounding an entrance to the patient's airways for sealed delivery of a flow of air at a therapeutic pressure of at least 4 cmH2O with respect to ambient air pressure throughout the patient's respiratory cycle in use. The positioning and stabilising structure may comprise a front hoop arranged to contact, in use, at least a region of the patient's head superior to an otobasion superior of the patient's head and a rear strap. The positioning and stabilising structure may comprise an adjustment mechanism for adjustment of the front hoop and the rear strap relative to the patient's head, the adjustment mechanism being arranged in a single operation to adjust both the front hoop and rear strap to enable the positioning and stabilising structure to fit different size heads.

Abstract: A seal-forming structure for a patient interface may include a patient-contacting surface configured to engage the patient's facial skin to form a seal; a posterior opening formed in the patient-contacting surface, the posterior opening configured to provide the flow of air at said therapeutic pressure to the patient's nares; and a support structure extending from the patient contacting surface to an interior surface of the seal-forming structure, the support structure and the interior surface forming a continuous loop, wherein the patient interface is configured to allow the patient to breath from ambient through their mouth in the absence of a flow of pressurised air through the plenum chamber inlet port, or the patient interface is configured to leave the patient's mouth uncovered.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a patient interface for sealed delivery of a flow of air at a continuously positive pressure with respect to ambient air pressure to an entrance to the patient's airways includes collecting anthropometric data of a patient's face. Anticipated considerations are identified from the collected anthropometric data during use of the patient interface. The collected anthropometric data is processed to provide a transformed data set based on the anticipated considerations, the transformed data set corresponding to at least one customised patient interface component. At least one patient interface component is modeled based on the transformed data set.

Abstract: A respiratory mask assembly for delivering breathable gas to a patient includes a frame and a cushion. The cushion has a non-face contacting portion structured to be connected to the frame, a face-contacting portion structured to engage the patient's face, and a central portion that interconnects the non-face contacting portion and the face contacting portion. The frame may be structured to allow a forehead support to assume multiple positions, to compensate for replacement cushions that may have a different profile, shape or size. The cushion is structured to compensate for variations in strap tension, treatment pressure and/or movement of the patient. Headgear may be provided with a strap assembly in which one or more straps is provided with selectively adjustable elasticity or extensibility that may be automatically changed in dependence of treatment pressure and/or treatment type.

Abstract: A patient interface may include a plenum chamber pressurisable to a therapeutic pressure, a seal-forming structure constructed and arranged to form a seal with a region of the patient's face surrounding an entrance to the patient's airways, a positioning and stabilising structure to provide a force to hold the seal-forming structure in a therapeutically effective position on the patient's head, and a vent structure to allow a continuous flow of gases exhaled by the patient from an interior of the plenum chamber to ambient, wherein the patient interface is configured to leave the patient's mouth uncovered during therapy, wherein the seal-forming structure comprises two lateral support regions, each located at a lateralmost side of the seal-forming structure, and a medial region positioned between the lateral support regions, the hole passing through the medial region, and wherein the lateral support regions are thicker than the medial region.
