摘要:
A method and apparatus for controlling an AC motor are described wherein a frequency generator is configured to generate a signal representative of the stator electrical frequency and to estimate the rotor electrical frequency of the motor during operation. The generator operates on torque and flux current reference signals and on d-axis voltage reference and feedback signals to determine the electrical frequencies. The generator ramps up gain values applied to the torque current reference signals and to a voltage error signals representative of the difference between the d-axis voltage reference and feedback signals during a startup phase of operation to enhance performance and stability of the drive during this phase. The generator includes feedforward and feedback portions that contribute components of the final stator frequency signal. The components are filtered differently during startup and running phases of operation to provide the desired frequency signals.

A method and apparatus used with a motor controller having a PWM inverter for eliminating discontinuities in a stator current that are caused by noise, command signal discontinuities and feedback corrections. While noise, discontinuities, and correction can cause multiple crossings between a carrier signal and a command signal during a half cycle of a carrier signal, the present invention only allows a single crossing during any carrier signal half cycle to effect motor operation.

An electronic motor drive for vector control of an induction motor controls slip and operating frequency in response to changes in stator voltage. The drive includes a torque control loop, a flux control loop and a frequency control loop which includes slip control in response to a voltage difference. In the constant horsepower range, above base speed, slip is controlled in response to an error between a d-axis reference voltage that is sampled at base speed and a d-axis feedback voltage that is sensed when the motor is operating above base speeed. Flux-weakening is provided in response to an error between a q-axis reference voltage that is sensed when the motor is operating at base speed and a q-axis feedback voltage that is sensed when the motor is operating above speed.

A frequency control method is incorporated in a motor drive to prevent overcurrent trips when an induction motor is subjected to impact loads or reconnection under load. The drive includes a current regulator loop to control stator current and a voltage regulator loop to control the command to the current regulator. Motor voltage is sensed and a voltage error is developed. This voltage error is processed through a proportional-integral control loop which controls an operating frequency signal to the current regulator. The drive responds during current limit conditions to reduce operating frequency and speed until the current limit conditions subside. The motor can then be re-accelerated up to the desired operating speed.

Methods and systems for synchronizing an electric grid having unbalanced voltages are provided. A voltage vector may be filtered in a quadrature tracking filter (QTF) to generate a quadrature signal. The inputs to the QTF may be either single input, multiple outputs, or alternatively, multiple inputs, multiple outputs. Furthermore, the second state of either of the two QTF transformations may be either positive or negative. A phase-locked-loop (PLL) operation may be performed on the quadrature signal to monitor a voltage vector between the grid and a connected power converter. The QTF and PLL methods are suitable for either single-phase applications or n-phase (any number of phases) applications.

A phase-locked-loop (PLL) operation may be performed on the quadrature signal to monitor a voltage vector between the grid and a connected power converter. The QTF and PLL methods are suitable for either single-phase applications or n-phase (any number of phases) applications. A frequency estimator estimates the grid frequency of the electric grid and outputs the estimated frequency to the QTF algorithms. The frequency estimator may include a three-phase phase-locked-loop (three-phase PLL) suitable for estimating the center frequencies of multiple phases of the electric grid. The frequency estimator may also include means for reducing the harmonics in the grid system.
