摘要: The invention is directed to an implanted microphone having reduced sensitivity to vibration. In this regard, the microphone differentiates between the desirable and undesirable vibration by utilizing at least one motion sensor to produce a motion signal when an implanted microphone is in motion. This motion signal is used to yield a microphone output signal that is less vibration sensitive. In a first arrangement, the motion signal may be processed with an output of the implantable microphone transducer to provide an audio signal that is less vibration-sensitive than the microphone output alone. In another arrangement, the motion signal may be utilized to actuate at least one actuator. Such an actuator may be capable of applying a force to move the implantable microphone or an implant capsule so as to reduce movement of a microphone diaphragm relative to the skin of a patient which covers the microphone diaphragm.

摘要: The invention relates exterior rearview mirrors, wherein lighting units (8) in the form of a repeating direction indicator lamp are housed in the mirror head (1). In order for the diffuser panel (14) to be substantially invisible when not illuminated, the diffuser panel is configured on its exterior in such a manner that it is invisible from the exterior when not illuminated, while the light beams emitted by the illumination means (25) have sufficient luminous intensity after passage through the diffuser panel (14). The exterior rearview mirror is especially suitable for motor vehicles.

摘要: An electrophysiological measurement method and system is provided for positioning an implantable transducer of a hearing instrument relative to a middle ear component or inner ear of a patient. The method and system employ electrophysiological measurement signals obtained in response to test signals applied to an implanted transducer. In one embodiment, the electrophysiological measurements are obtained by an electrocochleography measurement device that measures the cochlear summating potential and/or action potential responsive to test signals applied to an implanted transducer. In another embodiment, an auditory brainstem response measurement device is utilized to obtain electrical potential measurement signals responsive to test signals applied to an implanted transducer.

摘要: An at least partially implantable system for rehabilitation of a hearing disorder with at least one sensor for picking up an acoustic signal and converting the acoustic signal into corresponding electrical signals, an electronic signal processing unit for audio signal processing and amplification, an electrical power supply unit which supplies energy to individual components of the system, and an output-side electromechanical transducer arrangement which consists of at least two independent and spatially separate transducers for stimulation of the inner ear. In conformity with the invention, the output-side electromechanical transducers are designed for stimulation of the fluid-filled inner ear spaces of the damaged inner ear and the signal processing unit comprises driving signal processing electronics which electrically controls each of the transducers such that a traveling wave configuration is formed on the basilar membrane of the damaged inner ear. The traveling wave configuration approximates the formation of a traveling wave of a healthy, undamaged inner ear.
