    摘要: The invention reduces the noise from a vibrating gyroscope used for detecting a turning angular rate, when the vibrator is subjected to external vibration. The vibrator is made out of a piezoelectric material. The vibrator vibrates in a driving vibration mode electrically excited in the vibrator and in a detection vibration mode occurring in the vibrator due to Coriolis force when the vibrator is turned. The surface of the vibrator includes a region where the stress induced in the vibrator due to the detection vibration mode is in a range of a local maximum. The gyroscope further has a damper, for reducing vibration sensitivity to external vibrations applied externally on the vibrator. The damper is made of a polymer and is provided on at least the region where the stress induced in the vibrator due to the detection vibration mode is in a range of a local maximum.

Each of the steps comprising a step tread and first and second guide rollers offset from each other in the traveling direction of the steps. The apparatus also includes a forward rail configured to guide the first and the second guide rollers in the forward path, a backward rail configured to guide the first and the second guide rollers in the backward path, and a pair of turning rails having a curving rail formed in an arc, configured to guide the second guide roller in the turning paths. At least one of the turning rails is formed in a manner such that a line segment drawn between an orbital center of a corresponding curving rail and a first center of the first guide roller makes an acute angle with a line segment drawn between the orbital center and a second center of the second guide roller, and a loci made by respective turning motions of front and rear edges of the step tread cross each other.

    摘要: A vibrator of a vibratory gyroscope comprises a main arm having a base part and at least one bending-vibration piece extending from the base part in a direction crossing the longitudinal direction of the base part and a fixing part for fixing one end of the base part, and the base part and the bending-vibration piece are formed so as to extend substantially in a specified plane. Preferably, at the opposite side to one end of the base part, a projection projecting from the bending-vibration piece is provided, or at least a pair of resonant arms resonating with vibration of the base part, said pair of resonant arms projecting from the fixing part are provided. Thanks to this, it has been possible to detect a turning angular rate in a sufficiently high accuracy without providing a projection which has a certain weight and extends from the vibrator toward the axis of turning even in case of arranging the vibrator so that the vibration arm of the vibrator extends perpendicularly to the axis of turning.
