    摘要: A time data compression technique which allows high speed integrated circuit (“IC”) memory devices to be tested at full speed with test equipment which is capable of operating at only at relatively slower speeds than that of the memory devices without increasing test time or decreasing production throughput. Through the use of the technique disclosed herein, data is initially sorted in time and them compared for a predetermined number of logic level “1s” or “0s” to be effectively compressed in time. This time compression allows high rate data streams to be tested at effectively slower rates. The technique of the present invention can be utilized to effectively reduce the data rate by one half, one quarter or to any sub-multiple of the normal memory frequency without increasing time in test. In a particular embodiment, the present invention may be functional to convert double data rate (“DDR”) data to single data rate (“SDR”) to allow DDR memory devices to be more easily and effectively tested.

    摘要: A video/audio data coding circuit receives video/audio signals and compresses and multiplexes them. A recording signal processing circuit shuffles the audio/video data, adds ECCs, and codes them for recording. A CPU control circuit controls a control ECC block addition circuit to generate control ECC blocks and sends them to the recording signal processing circuit. At the same time, the CPU control circuit controls an optical head and a spindle motor. The data is written onto a disc by the optical head. And, after editing, the control ECC blocks are written. At playback time, the control ECC blocks are read from the disc and sent to a control ECC block playback circuit where they are played back. The CPU control circuit controls the optical head, spindle motor, and so on with the played-back control ECC blocks and commands. Video/audio data is read from the disc by the optical head. A played-back signal processing circuit decodes the data, checks for errors, and de-shuffles the data. A video/audio data decoding circuit decompresses and outputs the video/audio data.

    摘要: An analog control signal with an index signal recorded in a first magnetic tape is reproduced in synchronization with the reproduction of an AV digital signal recorded in the first magnetic tape. The index signal corresponds to a leading position of the AV digital signal. When the index signal is detected, an index code is prepared, and the index code and the AV digital signal are packed in an isochronous packet. The index code corresponds to the leading position of the AV digital signal. The isochronous packet is transmitted to a recording VCR through a packet transmission line, and the AV digital signal extracted from the packet is recorded in a second magnetic tape. Also, when the index code of the packet is detected, a duty ratio of a specific group of pulses of a control signal generated in the recording VCR is changed to reproduce the index signal. Thereafter, the control signal with the index signal is recorded in the second magnetic tape while making the index signal correspond to the leading position of the AV digital signal. Therefore, even though any private line for an analog signal such as the control signal is not arranged, the control signal and the AV digital signal recorded in the first magnetic tape can be dubbed in the second magnetic tape.

    摘要: Skipping reproduction of image data is performed while maintaining the continuity of a moving image before and after a skipping point, thereby preventing the video buffer in the decoder from failing. A moving image recording and reproducing apparatus for such skipping reproduction includes a decoder to decode an MPEG-2 video stream recorded on an optical disc and an encoder to re-encode the decoded video stream by editing. A multiplexer multiplexes the edited video stream and an audio stream, and an analysis controller controls the editing. To generate a multiplexed stream which can be reproduced by skipping from a first video stream to a second video stream, the analysis controller limits the re-encoding so that the bit occupancy in the video buffer is smaller than the capacity of the video buffer and larger than zero for a time period starting with the supply of the second video stream to the video buffer of the decoder and ending with the beginning of the decoding of the second video stream.
