In the case of forming a physical burst in which a plurality of data payloads are combined into one, a frame structure is provided without needless repetition of address information.

    摘要: A wireless communication device in a wireless network sets management information notification cycles at specified time intervals and transmits management information containing receive timing information showing its own position to start receiving information, receive window information, and receive cycle information. Another wireless communication device receiving that management information links it to a communication device number for the corresponding wireless communication device and stores the receive timing, the receive window information, and the receive cycle information. When sending information, the receive start position of the corresponding communication device is found from the receive timing information, the receive window information and the receive cycle information of the other communication device and information is then transmitted at that timing. An asynchronous ad-hoc communication wireless network can therefore be configured without a particular control station.

Each radio communication device performs receiving operation at access slots specific to the device itself defined by the beacon signal. When information transmission is made between arbitrary communication devices in the network, access slots for the device which is to receive the information are used.

    摘要: A collision of data transmitted in an ad hoc network in which a communication system such as a wireless LAN system is managed without a master control station is minimized. A communication station in the network estimates a time at which a neighboring station will transmit a signal and, when a communication start request is received from some other communication station, adds time information, generated based on the length of time to the estimated time, to a response to the communication start request. This allows the reception side communication station, which knows in advance that the transmission will be occupied by a transmission from other communication stations, to cause the transmission side communication station to transmit data at a time other than that occupation time.

    摘要: A system for wireless communication having a region for asynchronous information transmission and a region for information transmission. The system uses channel time allocation for storing data in a data transmission buffer and initially transmitting information via asynchronous communication. When an amount of data stored in the buffer exceeds a predetermined value, the system transmits information via channel time allocation communication. The predetermined value is obtained by dividing overall bandwidth of the asynchronous information region by a number of wireless communication stations forming a network. When no data is stored in the buffer during channel time allocation, an allocated channel time is released.

Thus, timing for retransmission can be readily determined. Also, the retransmission timing is determined based on when a packet is actually transmitted. Therefore, multiple acknowledgements of receipt can be returned as a combined reply.
