    摘要: An endless belt for power transmitting according to the present invention is a tension-type belt of links forming a chain, and has high power transmitting efficiency although it can be produced with relatively low cost. With this endless belt, the respective blocks and pins start to contact sheave sides in order near the pitch line and the pitch of biting into the sheave is made smaller so as to reduce noise. Even if the respective blocks are inclined when the endless belt bites into pulley, each block contacts the sheave sides only at projecting outer end faces formed extending over a limited area corresponding to the divided pin near the pitch line (P-P). Therefore, a total of four parts, the projecting outer end faces of the first and second blocks and a pair of the divided pins, abut the sheave side in order, in one pitch of the link chain, so as to make the biting pitch smaller and decrease polygon effects.

    摘要: A control valve is shown for a continuously variable transmission, with a spool of the control valve being maintained at a fixed transmission ratio position between an up-shift position and a downshift position when a signal pressure supplied to the control valve falls within a certain range. The signal pressure is provided to the control valve through a pressure line that is divided, with one branch of the signal pressure line being connected to a first input port of the control valve and the other branch being connected to a second input port through an orifice. Application of a signal pressure within a certain range results in the drain port being selectively connected with the second input port.

    摘要: A transmission unit includes a belt type continuously variable transmission (CVT) having a first pulley arranged on a first shaft with a stationary sheave, a movable sheave and a hydraulic actuator for the movable sheave. The second pulley of the CVT is mounted on a second shaft and also has a stationary sheave, a movable sheave and a hydraulic actuator. A belt is mounted around the first and second pulleys. The transmission unit further includes a synchronous transmission for connecting a first rotary member arranged on the first shaft and a second rotary member arranged on the second shaft at a constant speed ratio, an output gear for transmitting power to the wheels and a planetary gear unit. The planetary gear unit is mounted on the second shaft and includes at least first, second and third rotary elements. The first rotary element is connected to the second rotary member, the second rotary element to the second pulley, and the third rotary element to the output gear. The first shaft is connected through the CVT to the second rotary element and through the synchronous transmission to the first rotary element. The hydraulic actuators are arranged on opposite sides of the belt.

    摘要: A manual speed selector of an automatic vehicle transmission, having a manual valve capable of being changed over by a shift lever, and shift valves capable of being changed over by controlling a plurality of solenoid valves. Hydraulic pressure is supplied to or discharged from frictional engagement devices by the changeover of the shift valves to automatically shift the transmission. The shift lever can be moved between an automatic shift mode position and a manual shift mode position, and a transitive position is provided between these two mode positions. At the transitive posion, the manual valve is set in a position such as to enable supply of hydraulic pressure to the frictional engagement devices. At the transitive position also, the transmission can be set in neutral state. In the manual shift mode the solenoid valves can be selectively turned on or off to effect engine braking.

    摘要: An endless transmission belt for use in continuously variable transmissions of the chain type with a number of link plates interconnected in an endless manner. The belt has blocks arranged paired pins arranged longitudinally around its length and engaging with the blocks, link plates arranged transverse to the length of the belt and engaging the pins, and pin engagement grooves formed in the blocks and engaging the pins, wherein one or a plurality of sets of the link plates are interconnected by mutual pins in an endless manner. The pin engagement grooves are formed with recesses capable of compensating for the canting of the paired pins as they rotate about their longitudinal axes in passage around a pulley. Consequently, chattering movement of the blocks is reduced and, in addition, the amount by which the blocks slip in the circumferential direction when the belt is in engagement with the pulleys is reduced, thereby making the end faces of the pulleys and the blocks less vulnerable to wear, while reducing torque loss and thus improving transmission efficiency.

    摘要: Pressure regulating system for use in an automatic transmission including a fluid coupling, a belt drive continuously-variable speed transmission mechanism having an input pulley and an output pulley which are rotatably interlocked with a V-belt and a reduction ratio control system for controlling the reduction ratio of the belt drive continuously-variable speed transmission mechanism. The pressure regulating system includes a regulator valve capable of regulating the discharge pressure of an oil pump to provide a line pressure, a reduction ratio detecting valve and a throttle pressure valve. The reduction ratio detecting valve receives the line pressure and provides a pressure which is proportional to the displacement of the movable flange of the output pulley with respect to the corresponding fixed flange. The throttle pressure valve receives the line pressure and provides a first throttle pressure which is proportional to the degree of throttle opening of an internal-combustion engine and receives the reduction ratio pressure and provides the same reduction ratio pressure as a second throttle pressure only when the degree of throttle opening exceeds a predetermined value. The regulator valve receives the reduction ratio pressure, the first throttle pressure and the second throttle pressure to regulate the line pressure.
