The functional module model includes division line data representing division lines corresponding to positions where pipeline registers can be inserted and delay/area data representing the trade-off relationship between the delay and the area of each division area partitioned by the division lines. By using this functional module model, a pipeline register insertion position is selected among the division lines represented by the division line data, and the delay and the area of each division area are set on the basis of the trade-off relationship represented by the delay/area data. Thus, a pipelined circuit with a minimized area can be synthesized.

Each optical data processing unit includes an optical signal receiving circuit on the substrate for receiving an optical signal and generating a reception signal; a data processing circuit on the substrate for processing the reception signal and generating resultant data; a drive circuit and an LED on the substrate for emitting an output optical signal and heat in accordance with the resultant data. The super graphite sheet on the LED transmits and radiates the heat from the LEDs. The super graphite film is provided by sintering a high polymer sheet and has a high heat conductivity. The optical signal receiving circuit receives the optical signal through the glass substrate or through the substrate made of silicon of which thickness is reduced for providing transparency or in which a through hole is formed. An optical data processing system including a plurality of optical data processing apparatus are coupled directly or through a coupling optics or a coupling optical system.

    摘要: A power IC having an SOI structure including at least a supporting substrate as a bottom layer, a substrate insulating film, an SOI conductive film, an SOI insulating film, and an Si film. The Si film serving as a top layer of the SOI structure is divided into a plurality of active layers by element isolation dielectric regions, and a desired semiconductor element is formed in each active layer. A total capacitance between each active layer and the supporting substrate is small and an inversion layer formed at a bottom of the active layer in the conventional SOI substrate is prevented from being induced. The power IC is constituted at least by an element A in a first active layer and an element B in a second active layer operating in association with the element A. The first active layer is electrically connected to the SOI conductive film just under the first and second active layers. A potential difference is prevented from being applied to the second active layer of the element B upon operation of the element A. With this arrangement, even if an operating voltage of the power IC is raised, independent operation of each element is retained. Furthermore, a low on-resistance of an output stage power-element is realized, and the device characteristics such as high speed operation and high conversion efficiency are provided.

    摘要: An optic rotation sensing apparatus includes a light source emitting light. The light emitted from the light source is transmitted to a sensing loop which provides a phase difference between opposite-direction light waves in response to a rotation. Return light outputted from the sensing loop is transmitted to a photodetector. A device modulates a phase of light propagating in the sensing loop. Another device depolarizes light propagating in the sensing loop. The invention further controls and processes an output signal representing the output of the photodetector at a phase at which a level of an AM noise component of the output signal is minimized.

    摘要: A pulsation damper mounted in a fuel chamber (23) of a high-pressure fuel pump (20) is provided with a diaphragm (11) having a flat section (11a) displaced when fuel pressure is applied thereto, a pump cover (10) for supporting the diaphragm (11), and a gas chamber (12) formed by the diaphragm (11) and the pump cover (10). Pressure pulsation occurring in the fuel chamber (23) is suppressed by displacement of the flat section (11a). The diaphragm (11) is formed in a closed-bottomed tubular shape with the flat section (11a) located at the bottom and has a projection (11b) provided to the periphery of the flat section (11a) and projecting to the side opposite to the pump cover (10). A tubular peripheral section extending from the outer periphery of the projection (11b) so as to be vertical to the flat section (11a) is fitted over the pump cover (10). The externally fitting portion of the tubular peripheral section is a joint section (11c) joined to the pump cover (10).
