摘要： Phenylalanine derivatives of the following formula, analogues thereof and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof have an antagonistic activity to α4 integrin. They are used as therapeutic agents or preventive agents for various diseases concerning α4 integrin in which α4 integrin-depending adhesion process participates in the pathology, such as inflammatory diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel diseases, systemic lupus erythematosus, multiple sclerosis, Sjögren's syndrome, asthma, psoriasis, allergy, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, arterial sclerosis, restenosis, tumor proliferation, tumor metastasis and transplantation rejection. wherein R1 is a methyl group and R2 is a methoxy group.

摘要： An optical waveguide plate for a surface light emitting apparatus and a surface light emitting apparatus using the optical waveguide plate that provides excellent uniformity in surface emission is disclosed. The optical waveguide plate comprises an end face introducing light emitted from a light source, and a light emitting surface outputting light introduced from the end face. The end face has a light introducing portion comprising a plurality of notched prisms which disperse incident light. The intervals between two adjacent prisms are set to become greater in proportion to the distance from the center of the light introducing portion. The angles of the prisms are also adjusted to provide uniform surface emission.

摘要： Protrusion of head elements to an air bearing surface is effectively reduced and their contact with a recording medium is thereby prevented by forming a level gap (concave) of about 3 nm in a multilayered protective film on the air bearing surface in a part matching an inductive write thin film head in a recording/reproducing separated type magnetic head and thereby offsetting protrusion of the head elements to the air bearing surface due to thermal deformation of the heads.

摘要： A magnetic disk apparatus has a disk assembly including a single servo disk and a plurality of data disks, a servo-head supporting structure for supporting a servo head and data-head supporting structures for supporting data heads. These heads are so disposed as to cooperate with respective disks. The servo-head and data-head supporting structures are driven by an actuator to move the servo head and the data heads to the required positions on the corresponding disks. The servo-head supporting structure and each of the data-head supporting structures have different proper oscillations to prevent the occurrence of a resonance during a seek operation.
