    摘要： A variable capacitive semiconductor element is connected to a piezo-electric resonator for controlling the oscillating frequency thereof according to the variable capacitance of the capacitive element. The variable capacitive semiconductor element comprises a floating electrode disposed on and electrically isolated from a semiconductor substrate for storing electric charge to form a capacitance region in the semiconductor substrate, a control electrode for injecting electric charge into the floating electrode to determine the amount of capacitance, and a terminal electrode for connecting the variable capacitive element to the piezo-electric resistor. A bias circuit is connected to apply a given voltage to the terminal electrode to adjust the amount of capacitance according to the given voltage.

    摘要： A driving circuit for a brushless motor having a permanent-magnetic rotor is disclosed which is capable of positively carrying out starting of the motor and rapidly interrupting exciting current to protect the motor, when the rotor fails to rotate during the normal operation. The driving circuit includes transistor control circuits each including a capacitor, a PUT, and a capacitor charging circuit comprising a Zener diode and a resistor; and a resistor series circuit for flowing conductive signal current to a transistor switch which serves to supply current to exciting windings. The PUT is conductive to allow the transistor switch to be kept non-conductive when the capacitor is charged to a predetermined voltage.

    摘要： A rear window washer wiper control comprising a first movable member and a second movable member, the movable members comprising a slide switch for a washer circuit and a slide switch for a wiper circuit. Both switches are incorporated in one case to energize a wiper motor by moving the second movable member to the right and also to push and move the second movable member accordingly when the first movable member is moved to the right, thereby working a washer motor and a wiper motor simultaneously.Once an operating piece of the first movable member is released, the first movable member is forced back to the original position thereof by virtue of a built-in spring for automatic resetting, thus resulting in the washer motor stopping. The wiper motor continues to work so long as the second movable member is not manually reset to the original state thereof.

    摘要： A fixing device includes a nip formation pad pressing against a pressure rotator via a fixing rotator to form a fixing nip between the fixing rotator and the pressure rotator. The nip formation pad includes a base and a first thermal conductor sandwiched between the base and the fixing rotator at the fixing nip and having a first thermal conductivity greater than a basic thermal conductivity of the base. A first heater and a second heater are disposed opposite an inner circumferential surface of the fixing rotator to heat the fixing rotator. A rotatable light shield moves to a shield position where the light shield is interposed between the second heater and the fixing rotator to shield the fixing rotator from the second heater. The second heater is disposed at a location where the light shield screens the second heater more readily than the first heater.

A multi-view thermopile array detects a temperature of an outer circumferential surface of the fixing rotator at a plurality of spots thereon. A heater controller controls the first heating portion and the second heating portion individually based on the temperature of the fixing rotator detected at the plurality of spots thereon. A recording medium conveyance controller determines whether or not to convey the recording medium to the fixing nip based on an increased temperature detected at at least one of the plurality of spots on the fixing rotator.
