    摘要: A brushless DC fan with a winding supply circuit having an internal voltage regulator can afford current limiting and thermal protection and provide various desired fan speeds without alteration of the basic fan circuit, the windings, or other manufacturing items. A voltage setting circuit element can set fan speed externally and can be used to establish various fan speeds. An internal voltage establishing circuit element sets the maximum speed. The regulator replaces the fan's protective thermistor to shut down the voltage to the windings when locked rotor occurs. Bringing out a lead for the purpose of connecting a speed controlling resistor, thermistor, or active programming means to the internal circuitry enables the fan's end user to alter operation as needed.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for detecting and correcting the occurrence of flashover in a direct current electric motor. The polarity and magnitude of voltage on the field winding of the motor is continuously monitored. Detection of a sudden reversal of the polarity of the field voltage accompanied by a rapid increase in magnitude results in the generation of a flashover signal. The flashover signal is coupled to power controlling elements regulating power supplied to the motor and is effective to force removal of power from the motor. In a preferred embodiment the apparatus is disclosed in a two-motor system with two field windings serially connected such that the field voltage monitoring is accomplished on a differential basis.

    摘要: The present techniques include methods and systems for detecting a failure in a capacitor bank of an electrical drive system. Embodiments include using discharge resistors to discharge capacitors in the capacitor bank, forming a neutral node of the capacitor bank. In different capacitor configurations, the neutral node is measured, and the voltage is analyzed to determine whether a capacitor bank unbalance has occurred. In some embodiments, the node is a neutral-to-neutral node between the discharged side of the discharge resistors and a neutral side of the capacitor bank, or between the discharged side of the discharge resistors and a discharged side of a second set of discharge resistors. In some embodiments, the node is a neutral-to-ground node between the discharged side of the discharge resistors and a ground potential.

    摘要: A control device applicable to an actuator and including a voltage detection unit and a limit switch control unit. The control device is inbuilt inside the actuator without any additional control circuit for the control of the limit switches and the detection of the input voltage range. The limit switches are used to limit the travel of an actuating member of the actuator so as to avoid collision of the mechanism. The voltage detection unit serves to detect the input voltage range to control the operation of the actuator. Accordingly, the mechanism or the motor is protected from damage due to excessively low or high input voltage. The limit switches are freely adjustable in position and protected from high current. Therefore, the contacts of the limit switches are not liable to damage and the lifetime of the limit switches is prolonged. The control device further has electronic brake effect.
