摘要： Wellbore devices for use in filtration, wellbore isolation, production control, lifecycle management and wellbore construction may include at least a first and a second shape-memory material each having an altered geometric position and each an original geometric position. Each shape-memory material may include a polyurethane material held in the altered geometric run-in position at a temperature below glass transition temperature (Tg), where the Tgs and/or the respective slope changes of the first and second polyurethane materials are different. Once the wellbore device is in place downhole and the first and second shape-memory materials are subjected to temperatures above their Tgs, the materials will deploy and expand to recovered geometric positions at or near their original geometric positions to perform their filtration, isolation, control or other function. These deployments or expansions may occur at different times or rates.

摘要： A screen section is made with variable resistance to flow in the screen material to balance the flow along the screen length. In one variation different discrete zones have screens configured for different percentages of open area while all have the same particle filtration capability. In another variation discrete portions have differing amounts of overlapping screen portions so as to balance flow without affecting the particle size screened. The cross-sectional shape of a wire wrap underlayment for the screen is made closer to trapezoidal to decrease the angle of opening for the incoming flow paths toward the base pipe. In this manner flow resistance is reduced and flow is increased due to reduced turbulence.

摘要： A fracturing method for preferably open hole uses fluid velocity impinging on the wellbore wall to initiate fractures. Telescoping members that extend using nozzles inside them but come out to a distance from the wellbore wall can be used. Fixed nozzles that do not extend are also another option. The nozzles can be eroded or corroded as the fracturing takes place or they can be made of sufficiently durable materials or have coatings to withstand the erosive effects of high velocity slurries pumped to impinge the wellbore wall to initiate fractures.

摘要： An actuator device for setting a downhole tool is disclosed. The actuator device comprises a thermally expansive fluid within a chamber. Application of heat to the thermally expansive fluid causes the thermally expansive fluid to expand. In so doing, pressure within the chamber increases causing the downhole tool to be actuated such as by the thermally expansive fluid applying pressure directly to the actuating member or indirectly by allowing hydrostatic wellbore pressure to be allowed to act directly with the actuating member.
