摘要： An apparatus randomly assigns downlink sub-frame time slots for transmitting user data in an NB-TDD CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) communication system. In the apparatus, a multiplexer creates a user data part by multiplexing user data for UEs (User Equipments), a TFCI (Transport Format Combination Indicator) symbol for the user data, and a TPC (Transmission Power Control command) symbol for controlling transmission power of a downlink channel, and a controller randomly assigns time slots for transmitting the user data part in the sub-frames, based on a time slot number initially assigned for the user data part, a sub-frame number at a transmission point of the user data part, and the number of assigned uplink time slots in the corresponding sub-frame.

摘要： A reverse data rate determining method in a mobile communication system for high data rate transmission such as an HDR system, wherein an AN (Access Network) within a cell calculates a total load of a reverse link by measuring a total energy of a reverse link from ATs (Access Terminals) within the cell. The AN calculates the share of each AT in the total reverse link load. If the load share of an AT is greater than a threshold predetermined individually for the AT, the AN determines that the AT should reduce its data rate.

摘要： Disclosed is an apparatus for generating an error detection information bit sequence for determining a length of data sequence transmitted in a communication system. The apparatus comprises a plurality of cascaded registers, the number of which is identical to the number of bits in the error detection information bit sequence, and a plurality of adders arranged on paths determined by a predetermined generator polynomial, each of the adders adding a bit sequence received through an input path to a feedback bit sequence. During reception of the control information sequence, an operator generates the feedback bit sequence by sequentially adding bits of the control information sequence to output bits of a final register and provides the generated feedback bit sequence to the adders. After completion of receiving the control information sequence, the operator sequentially adds a preset input bit to output bits of the final register and outputs the addition result as the error detection information bit sequence. An initial value controller provides the registers with a selected initial value separately determined for the data sequences.

If an active set is updated, the category of the old active set is compared with that of the updated active set. According to the comparison result, station (BS) identification (ID) codes are reassigned to base stations in the updated active base set. The reassigned BS ID codes are transmitted to the corresponding base stations and the category of the updated active set is transmitted to all the base stations of the updated active set.

摘要： A method and apparatus reduce overhead of feedback in a closed loop Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system. A controller feeds back the long-term Precoder Matrix Index (PMI) to a serving base station under direction of the serving base station when the long term PMI feedback transmission is required, generates a new codebook using the long term PMI, and determines a short term PMI from the new codebook. A feedback transmitter feeds back the short-term PMI to the serving base station.

摘要： Disclosed is an apparatus and method for transmitting/receiving a control message in a wireless communication system that is designed to reduce overhead associated with transmission/reception of the control message. To this end, a transmission apparatus generates a control message, generates a compressed control message by compressing the generated control message, based on a control message that has been lastly received by a reception apparatus from among previously transmitted control messages, selects one of the generated control message and the generated compressed control message according to whether or not the control message lastly received by the reception apparatus exists, and transmits the selected one of the generated control message and the generated compressed control message to the reception apparatus. Therefore, it is possible to reduce resources used for control message transmission, and thus increase the use efficiency of the resources.

摘要： A method and system for transmitting/receiving data in a heterogeneous communication system. A terminal accesses a first controller of a first communication system supporting a first communication service to make a communication path to the first communication system. After making the communication path to the terminal, the first controller determines whether it is possible to provide the first communication service to the terminal over the first communication system. If it is not possible, the first controller transmits to an interworking unit a first request indicating that the terminal requires the first communication service over the second communication system. The interworking unit transmits a second request to a second controller of the second communication system in response to the first request, the second request indicating that the second controller provides the first communication service to the terminal. Upon receiving a response to the second request, the interworking unit controls the first controller to provide the first communication service to the terminal over the second communication system according to the response.

The absolute value symbol represents the signal strength of the forward channel in the at least one time slot corresponding to the selected time slot, and the relative value symbol represents a change in the signal strength of the forward channel between the at least one time slot corresponding to the one remaining time slot and the signal strength of the forward channel in a previous time slot.
