摘要： A method for assembling a molding, including pre-assembling a molding by placing one of two inwardly bent longitudinal edges of a cover in a groove in a flexible main body, the groove receiving one of the two edges; placing the molding in a fixture so that the cover cannot be substantially flexed when a pushing force is applied to the molding; applying a pushing force to the main body of the molding, causing the main body to flex or compress under the pushing force; sliding the main body past the other of the two edges of the cover; seating the other of the two edges of the cover in another groove by releasing the pushing force allowing the main body to return toward an unflexed and uncompressed state inside the channel of the cover so the two parts form an assembled molding; and removing the assembled molding from the fixture.

摘要： A molding manufacturing method includes: preparing a molding body including a molding main body made of thermoplastic material and a decorative layer higher than the molding main body in hardness and melt temperature; setting the molding body in a fixed die; heating and softening an end portion of the molding body while maintaining the decorative layer softer than the molding main body, by irradiating an infrared ray onto a back surface of the molding main body corresponding to the end portion; and press forming the end portion of the molding body by applying a movable punch onto the fixed die while the end portion of the molding body is in a softened state to bend the end portion of the molding body to obtain an end cover portion having a predetermined shape.

摘要： Disclosed is an absorbent article including: a liquid-permeable topsheet on its skin surface; a backsheet on its garment surface; and an absorbent layer therebetween. First compressed portions and second compressed portions, in which the absorbent layer is compressed together with at least the topsheet, extend longitudinally of the absorbent article. The first compressed portions are disposed symmetrically about a longitudinal centerline of the absorbent article to define a central absorbent portion having the absorbent layer therebetween. The second compressed portions are disposed symmetrically about the longitudinal centerline and spaced outwardly apart from the first compressed portions. When the central absorbent portion is laterally compressed by an external force, resilient portions each defined between each adjacent pair of first and second compressed portions are permitted to exert a resilience against compression on the central absorbent portion.

摘要： A molding, such as a belt-line window molding for a motor vehicle, is produced by assembling or mating a cover part to at least a flexible portion of a functional main body part. A flexible portion of the functional main body part of the molding is compressed and forced into a substantially C-shaped decorative or ornamental cover part, such as a substantially non-flexible metal cover part of a belt-line window molding for a motor vehicle, the flexible and elastic properties of the flexible main body part facilitating an assembly process. An apparatus is provided to retain the cover part during an assembly process ensuring that the cover part is not bent or otherwise excessively deformed during the assembly process, and provides a pushing force to compress or otherwise manipulate the flexible main body part as required to effect assembly of the two-piece belt-line window molding for a motor vehicle.

摘要： A gas-permeable plug is adapted to be inserted in an insertion hole formed through a part of a casing in an inward-outward direction. The gas-permeable plug has a plug body and a permeable sheet including therein countless minute permeable pores. The plug body is injection molded from a material having rubber-like elasticity and the permeable sheet is integrally bonded to a sheet bonding portion by an anchor operation such that when the plug body is injection molded, at the sheet bonding portion, a part of a heat-melted liquid resin enters the minute permeable pores and/or the permeable gaps in irregular directions by the injection molding pressure and is solidified.

The second flexible hinges are disposed symmetrically about the longitudinal centerline and spaced outwardly apart from the first flexible hinges to define support portions between adjacent first and second flexible hinges and side portions outside the second flexible hinges. The first flexible hinges facilitate bending of the support portions from the central absorbent portion, and the second flexible hinges facilitate bending of the side portions from the support portions.
