摘要: The present disclosure pertains to a trim part for a motor vehicle that comprises: a carrier; and a decorative material applied onto an upper surface of the carrier, wherein the decorative material comprises a printed thermoplastic film; and wherein the trim part is shaped by a deep-drawing process and a grain or impression is produced on the visible side of the film, which faces away from the carrier, by the deep-drawing process. A method and a device for manufacturing the trim part is also proposed.

摘要: A composite component for a vehicle has a core layer made from a theiinoplastic plastic foam and at least one cover layer which is connected to the core layer. The core layer has a higher density in one region than the density of the semi-finished core layer. The cover layer formed from a fiber-reinforced plastic is connected in the region of higher density to at least one joining element by friction welding.

摘要: A method of injection molding parts, including: injecting a first thermoplastic polymer into a first cavity; forming a ribbed structure comprising ribs in the first cavity, wherein each rib in the ribbed structure includes a microstructure on an outer portion of a rib; and reducing the surface imperfections in the part by overmolding a layer formed in the second cavity onto a portion of a rib by injecting a second thermoplastic polymer into the second cavity, wherein the overmolding occurs at an interface between the layer and the ribbed structure; or injecting a first thermoplastic polymer into a first cavity; forming a layer in the first cavity; and overmolding a ribbed structure comprising ribs formed in the second cavity onto a portion of the layer formed in the first cavity. In further variations gas is injected into a microchannel formed at the interface or a foaming agent is applied in the first thermoplastic polymer.

摘要: A fiber-reinforced polymer composition that contains a polymer matrix and a plurality of long reinforcing fibers that are distributed within the polymer matrix is provided. The polymer matrix contains a propylene polymer and constitutes from about 30 wt. % to about 90 wt. % of the composition. The fibers constitute from about 10 wt. % to about 70 wt. % of the composition. Further, the polymer composition exhibits a spiral flow length of about 450 millimeters or more as determined in accordance with ASTM D3121-09 and a volatile organic content of about 100 micrograms per gram or less as determined by VDA 277.

摘要: An automated method and system for making painted vehicle body panel skins and vehicle body panels. The method includes transferring a mold having a mold surface from an entrance station to a paint station within a dispensing area. The method further includes applying paint on the mold surface to form a layer of paint on the mold surface at the paint station. The method still further includes spraying curable polyurethane elastomer on the painted surface at a spray station within the dispensing area. The paint and spray stations may be coincident. The method still further includes, after the step of spraying and while the polyurethane elastomer is uncured, transferring the mold with the paint and the uncured polyurethane elastomer from the spray station to at least one accumulator station in a curing area to allow the polyurethane elastomer to completely cure in the mold and form the skin.

摘要: The invention is directed to a thermoplastic composition and to an article made from said thermoplastic composition. More in particular, the invention relates to blended polyolefinic materials, which, after moulding, provide a soft touch feel. The thermoplastic composition of the invention comprises (A) 10-40% by total weight of the composition of glass fibres; (B) 22-46% by total weight of the composition of a propylene homopolymer matrix phase; (C) 1.5-26% by total weight of the composition of an ethylene-propylene copolymer dispersed phase; and (D) 11-46% by total weight of the composition of a mixture of elastomers, said mixture comprising an ethylene/C5-8 α-olefin copolymer and an ethylene/C3-4 α-olefin copolymer.

The method includes the steps of: heating a non-woven material to a predetermined temperature; applying a decorative film having perforations to a first surface of the heated material to create a bilaminate; placing the bilaminate layer into a cavity of a tool such that the decorative film is facing the cavity; heating the cavity; and injecting a thermoplastic resin into the tool such that the thermoplastic resin is adhered to a second surface of the material, the second surface being opposite to the first surface.

摘要: The present subject matter relates to a method for manufacturing a vehicle interior trim part comprising a decor layer which forms a groove, as well as a decor element which is welded in the groove) of the decor layer, wherein the decor element is brought into the groove and is subsequently fixed in the groove by way of welding. According to the present subject matter, a welding head, e.g. an ultrasound sonotrode, is used for welding, and this comprises a contact side which is equipped with a plurality of projections which are arranged distanced to one another in a row and which taper to their contact surfaces, and wherein the welding head for producing the seam is pressed against a rear side of the decor layer in the region of the groove, in a manner such that the individual projections of the row of projections in a longitudinal directions of the groove come into contact with the rear side of the decor layer in a manner offset to one another, wherein the projections have a width which corresponds at least to 50% of a width of the decor element.

摘要: Methods of making interior panels having integrated airbag deployment doors for motor vehicles are provided. In one example, a method of making an interior panel comprises contacting a molten resin in a molding tool cavity with a plurality of juxtaposed pressurized gas streams to form a series of holes, bubbles, knit lines, or combinations thereof in the molten resin. The molten resin is solidified to form a substrate. The series of holes, bubbles, knit lines, or combinations thereof define a frangible tear seam in the substrate.
